I suspect this is a story that has grown legs and jogged a good long distance from the actual truth.

Comer and McHugh were named to play against us and could have played if fit. My understanding is that the paperwork to remove them from the 26 on medical grounds and add 2 alternatives was filed too late under the new rules. So the mess up was having to operate with a panel of 24, not being deprived of the services of Comer and McHugh.

These guys might be fit this week but they weren’t last week.

And on that point.... I’ve been mulling this over lately. Do you think back in the day, if John McEntee was suspended, that they played him anyway, and just said it was Tony?

I mean, come on... do you think those cute Cross boyos wouldn’t have come up with something like that? I mean, I thought of it, and My brain is only working on low power most of the time.

Tyrone - Donegal nothing to lose. Could be decided after additional time
Roscommon - depends on which Roscommon turns up. Cork nothing to lose and will be on a high after last weekends result
Mayo - can't see Kelly or Comer being able to play
Kildare - have Monaghan run out of steam and ideas?

I’ll go Tyrone probably too much firepower for Donegal all round

I think Cork will be confident and I have been impressed with them and have Sherlock off the bench as an ace up the sleeve.

This is going to be tight and the match of the round home advantage I think Galway will edge it .

Two evenly matched teams but at the same level I’ll go Kildare on the basis of momentum.

I think 1/2 games could go to penalties, it will be nice to watch a weekend of football relaxed not worrying about the outcome ,

As much as I like Cork I wouldn't want to play them. At least there is some familiarity with Roscommon - Don't like Roscommon though.
