Did you read the second section, Exceptions to (1) and (2) above? If there is a suspension then it will apply in the championship.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to argue that there are not several Armagh players contributing to a melee, they should have had more sense.

Yea but that's a different grade of offence hence tbe letrim boy who got a straight red and is suspended the one i quoted is the exceptions for three lesser categories
I absolutely hate rules.

What you are saying is because nobody received a red card in the Donegal vs Armagh game any suspension that is imposed by CCC will have to be applied to next years NFL?

A lesser type of red card i think a league game would be fairer than championship game and the rules suggest the same but i guess we wont know until all comes out

Not sure how true this is but a lot of rumours that 6 players will be charged with contributing to a melee, heard the Armagh players were Nugent,Soupy and one of the mackins
For Donegal its Neil Mcgee, mcfadden ferry and their sub goalie.

Armagh should appeal. The basis of the appeal is inconsistency. Not a word about the Dublin v Kerry Melee. Not even covered by The Sunday Game at the time. One rule for Ulster teams it appears.

Surprise surprise we lose 3 massive players while they lose one starter a pensioner and a sub gk. Hopefully all get off on appeal.

The latest is that Rory Grugan started the row with Murphy. Anyone see this?
At the final whistle grugan turned around to shake hands with Murphy…Murphy pushed and punched him to the chest and the same thing happened in our corner back position not sure who as it was in the corner of my eye but it definitely looked a planned thing from the Donegal side

According to the Donegal poster on HS the exact opposite happened.
Wish I had went up to the match now! Also surprised theres no videos taken on phones going around or if there is i havent seen them yet.

Nothing wrong with that. Won that shower in Tyrone plenty!
I will have to wait for the next publication of the history of the game and the section on how a bunch of lads on a fans forum taking things thick whipped up a siege mentality for the Tyrone team that led them to winning plenty

All right for everyone to sit here and say we should walk away and not lose our heads.. while losing are heads and arguing with each other about well losing our heads
. In heat of moment not a lot makes sense.. as you see in game up and down the country. Donegal had one attention evident from Neil Mcgee cameo..
Would agree championship draws to early.
Soup great impact sub.
Anyway on to championship...
Discipline is part of the game.

Is one of the dividing factors between good and bad players and between successful and unsuccessful teams/players.

Every act of self harm through indiscipline has to be compensated for elsewhere from our finite reserves of playing abilities. Why self harm?

I highly doubt a seige mentality in the team would be created based on a supporters forum.

Is it possible under the rules that 2 players could get a ban and one serves in the 2022 championship and the other serves it in the 2023 league because they are different offences??

If true that is going to create uproar. I should say that I have absolutely no idea if that is possible.

I think there is a difference here with the Dublin/Kerry match. Whilst contributing to a melee is in the book as an offence the point at which the disciplinary officials get interested is when a punch is thrown. The Tyrone match adds a headlock to points of interest.

Any player seen by the officials or the camera being involved in either of those is in trouble. Those who are guilty but not seen by the ref etc or the camera gets away with it. That’s life.

I have a suspicion that Donegal targeted this. Impossible to prove though. Could be a harsh lesson heading our way.

The take away has to be to be wiser in the future. We should have been wiser beforehand but that’s spilt milk at this stage

Do they put names into a hat and randomly draw out names for people to be punished
