Now I've watched the match back well till my recording cut outand give myself a chance to recover.. it was a game we should have won and game cavan probably should have won. At end of the day the fear of losing is probably the reason we didn't win the reason for not playing it forward. The management were telling us to go forward. Think even heard a Cavan fan telling us to go forward. Cavan were playing division 1 last year yes they were relegated but not many teams scored goals against them. We are improving and the there is a makings of a great time there hope Jarly Og ok looked very confused coming off and really wanted to come back on. On to next game hope we bring some noise once again.
On another note that sideways rain was awful. I'm still not warmed up

I don’t want to bring this debate up again but we do need Ross McQuillan playing for us. When the last ten minutes were tough trying to get ball out of defence he would have been the man to have been brought on to do that with his pace. I also think Duffy could have brought that to his game also. The substitutions that geezer brought on Andy and Ethan really were not worthwhile.
Also on another point, geezer seems to be obsessed with his defenders joining int the attacks a lot of the time. Personally I don’t think we need all these attacking as when they are called into defend they seem too tired when it comes to these last 15 minutes or so to actual do their job and push the attack back and without giving away silly spaces for forwards to shoot or we give away silly frees.
May also be critical here but we don’t have one good man marker for a top quality forward never mind a couple only defender I think who did his justice as a DEFENDER was forker and I really do get frustrated with our defence.
But I did come away happy knowing we live to fight another day but by god we can’t give Cavan them chances again. ⚪️

Same old problems rearing their ugly head again, not being able to win enough of our own kickouts, not killing teams off and pissing about with the ball rather than going in for the kill.

Having said that, you’d have taken this position two Saturdays ago when Cavan had just completely outplayed Monaghan. Another week to get Grimley, O’Neill and Murnin closer to fitness will definitely help us.

Blaine Hughes wasn’t tested with high ball for some strange reason and I’m still not 100% convinced with his kickouts, but he did ok.
Thought Forker was very good, kept Reilly quiet and kicked a great score, although he does look like he’s playing through a bit of pain so hopefully is fit for next week. Paul Hughes was much better this week that vs Down and drove us forward plenty late on. Donaghy done rightly with few good interceptions but was just plain stupid getting sent off and we’ll miss him for the replay.

Couldn’t really see what happened with Morgan but his reputation proceeds him at this stage and hes an easy target for refs, needs to be smarter. Jemar and Kennedy both put in solid shifts and special mention to Aidan Nugent, kicked couple of fantastic points.

Rian wasn’t as effective as in Newry but still had a good game, would rather him further up the pitch than out round the middle. Was very impressed with Crealy when he came on, he has to be close to starting next week, Grimley wasn't himself in the middle but we’ll put that down to only being back from injury.

Jarly Og again stole the show, superb fielding, driving forward and taking scores couldn’t ask for much more.

Lots of positives yesterday but again the same things causing us issues. We must be smarter and more disciplined in the tackle. Morgan really needs to look at his tackling - he'll do the hard bit, then slam-dunk his man for an easy free! We'll need him in next week! We need to be a bit more ruthless in front of goals also. Great Armagh support there yesterday - lets get back out next week!!

Think some people need to calm down on commenting on a very isolated position in 15. Blaine is young lad and needs these games to develop into top class county keeper

Not long ago that our starting golie left the panel (he was under a lot of critism on forums- maybe not why he left)

But I know that I would have liked to have McNeece now with 2 or 3 years more experience playing for Armagh

Agree and disagree.

He is young and developing but if he isn't criticised (constructively) then he isn't going to improve. He is making the mistakes he shouldn't, just take a few moments to look up and see what is happening, stay composed.

I'm gonna use your "agree and disagree" if you don't mind.

I agree with the comment until the last bit in bold. He get's massively criticised on here for not being quick enough and how many games have we heard our own supporters getting on his back for taking his time. Lad can't win, but at least he's keeping both camps unhappy and that in my opinion means he's doing ok. :D

For now I would settle for him taking his time to make the right/best decision and the quickness will follow with experience. When it comes to kicking long/short or quick or delayed ball then surely there are more experienced players such as Donaghy, Vernon and Forker that could help out.

When I was playing a good kick out was the furthest kickout so I don’t know to much on it to give advise :p

Any time camera on tv was behind him I didnt see someone free to kick it too

Thought Forker really good again

Impressed with Shields Nugent Jarly and Jamar rian and Paul hughes

Bad games for Soupy and Rory. And really dont know why we play Ethan rafferty (even RB doesn’t pick him!)
Hopefully we can play as well or better on Sunday. Mckiernan dudnt have shooting boots on and as someone said they didn’t put in high ball.
Would Great start to summer to be in Ulster Final
Come on Armagh

He was not the 1st keeper who had been on the end of over critical criticism on the forums & I truly believe this contributed to the departure of both.

I know this video is done to death on this forum but it doesn't matter if you have watched in for the first time or the 1000th time. It doesn't matter if you watch it 10 minutes before a game or ten days before a it chave andertainly doesn't matter if it is watched before a semi final replay it before an all Ireland final. The message is always the same the skill is there you just have to make sure you make the effort.

In fairness to Blaine he didn’t have a whole lot of options when kicking out, far as I could see he only misplaced 2, Cavan keeper had a much easier day out (there’s a mistake in that boy) we should put more pressure on their kick outs, I don’t agree with coughing up possession that easily

I would have to 100% agree. He wants to go short. Why would he want to go short with such a big midfield to hit. I agree, we need to push up on the kickouts. He will definitely make a huge mistake if we do.
