And very welcome you are, but please nothing about fwegs (there's enough about that from Mr. Bwyson) or blaming border men for everything!

Sorry can't make that promise .... you need to give yourself a better username for the start ... How About First Minister ?

Fair to play to you guys for setting this up and good luck.

Who would be favourite for the county final?
Thank you and welcome.

We'll leave it to you guys as we'd be accused of bias if we said Maghery..... Oooops I did it again! Maybe Armagh Harps though??

No strangely. Maybe it's a good thing that it's been quiet. No blame game then??

If no action is taken then it is bizarre & quite frankly shocking.
What sort of message does it send out about discipline in the county?

Over the years Cross have always escaped punishment (probably because they hold the county team over a barrel).

Maybe the CB are doing a full investigation. How have we escaped punishment over the years by holding the county team over a barrel? That's just nonsense.
There were a number of red cards shown by the ref to players. Both teams were involved in the afters and it may not suit the narrative but I know the name of at least 1 maghery man who crossed the fence also who was involved in the row, and he is quite well known and from my own playing days wouldn't have seen shy with the false slaps. I am not minimising our involvement, simply pointing out it takes 2 to tango.

Red cards are one thing but Cross have escaped sanction for many melee's over the years.
Other clubs have not been so lucky which may just be coincidental.
The big losers in all this could ironically be Maghery in that if the CB finally have the balls to deal with Cross then Maghery could be without players for the final. (And lord knows Maghery have got shafted more than enough times by the CB over the years)

Regards your point that it takes 2 to tango you are quite right however the clear instigators were Cross players and the Cross supporters who entered the field of play before any Maghery supporters did. That is just a fact.

How have Maghery got shafted more than most over the years? I'll tell you a story about maghery that I was personally involved in. Championship match, one of the current players hit another player on a team (not Cross) one of the falsest blows I have ever seen and broke his nose. Ollie Hearty was linesman and followed the play so didn't see it. All hell broke loose at HT instigated by the maghery players and there was an all out battle for 5 minutes. There were things alleged by maghery against me personally that were disgusting. Maghery were the clear antagonist in the whole thing. The player got a red card and that was that. It was nearly as bad as the county final. There was also a few incidents in the league game against them up there with county players running onto the field who weren't togged out to square up to men. Maghery are no angels. Don't try to paint them as angels. As a player the toughest and toughest games were on the lough shore and we fought the bit out on numerous occasions. You reap what you sow and when you have two teams who play right on the edge you will have consequences. What happened should not have happened but the poor little maghery narrative and big bad cross narrative is not exactly a true reflection.

And from what I've been told it was a maghery man who crossed the fence first. From a neutral I was told

Maghery are far from angels but the point I am making is they have got punished for their indescretions including punishments other than red cards (e.g. Field closed, retrospective bans etc). Cross on the other hand seem to escape any further action by the CB/CCC. Strange.

I was close to the incident and as a neutral I can tell you that your source is incorrect. 2 Cross supporters were first into the field. Your source is correct in that a former Maghery player entered the field in response to this. He was also involved in more than handbags.

But as looks the case everything seems to be swept under the carpet on this one

Anyway on to the final.
It would be fantastic if Harps were to win the final, albeit if it only shows other clubs in the county it is possible.

Next year could be a real cracker with Cross, Pats, Nab, Dromintee all challenging as well.
