Anyway on to the final.
It would be fantastic if Harps were to win the final, albeit if it only shows other clubs in the county it is possible.

Next year could be a real cracker with Cross, Pats, Nab, Dromintee all challenging as well.
And hopefully Clann Eireann

Sorry to go back to this, but surely if any bans were to be handed out, it would've happened by now. As Maghery are preparing for a final. Would be bizarre if anything happened a day or 2 before.

BCB two cross men crossed the fence first, I've seen videos to confirm this.

I know the two men in question. Not gonna argue with you. He said she said. I don't doubt the video. I think till the whole thing pans out best to leave it be.

Folks I'd agree with bcb1 on this one. When an outcome is announced, let's debate the life out of that and why we think it was unfair on any of the outcomes, but this whataboutery isn't going to get the forum off to a great start.

I think what we all agree on is that what happened, shouldn't have regardless of who started it and who did what. In an effort to keep things on track can I ask everyone to concentrate on the actual final and how we see that panning out. As soon as there is a whisper of an outcome, let's come back to it maybe on another thread please.

Genuinely dont think CE will make the step up.

While they undoubtedly have the underage talent coming through the way Cross pulled ye apart tells me ye wont have the stomach for a battle in the big time. Leagues are one thing but C'ship a different animal.

Hope Im wrong as the more teams challenging at the top table can only help the county scene, but like many North Armagh clubs I cant see the underage success transferring to the senior team

Maghery 4/9 with Boyle sports, Harps 11/5 which looks tight / generous depending on your POV. 2 other firms have it 8/15 - 15/8. 15/2 the draw with all 3.

Bit unfair that on clann eireann. Most of the talent in the club is still minor and un16. I would be surprised if they won't pushing for senior honours in 4 to 6 years time but it will take time.

Clann eireann will win a senior championship in next 5 years. But the big decision is who will take them there? I heard an ex manager was coming back to lead them to the promised land.

Harps have County Minor titles, Ulster Minor Club, County U21 titles to our name in the recent past and no senior success (very competitive yes), it's most definitely not a given that underage success translates into senior success.

Between yourselves and Og's you dominated the underage structure for a good number of years. I guess the Og's were quite unfortunate as they came up against us at our strongest in terms of domination. They beat us that once but even the string underage teams were not really well represented on that side. This is a very good opportunity for yourselves but the momentum that maghery have will be difficult to counter. I still think there's a win in it for you if you win the midfield battle. A strong start is vital as of Maghery get ahead they are very hard to peg back.

I'll add my thanks and congrats on setting up the new pages. Wasn't much of a contributor on the old site and don't see that changing much in the short term, but I look forward to reading the information that this brings and the odd lie/speculative/unsubstantiated story as well

Thank you. You're welcome and obviously we would prefer positive contributors to help add to discussions, but how you interact is entirely up to you.

Great to see a forum back up and running!

Fair play to you for taking it on!
Thank you. You're very welcome. Not sure we realised there would be work involved and we didn't anticipate so many members in such a short space of time. Though to be fair we didn't exactly expect to be up and running so quickly either. Just with the county one closing we thought we may as well go for it.

We're going to try and keep it less formal and stiff. There will be no banned subjects, just the personal stuff that everybody agrees is wrong and as long as the language stays reasonable (everyone will have an opinion on a definition of that) we hope debates will be tough and robust. We won't blow the whistle for a tough shoulder charge as long as one foot stays on the ground. ;)

By the way, we had considered "Orchard Loyal Fans" as a name, but just thought it was slightly too long.
