Brilliant, hard fought victory for Harps over Maghery this evening on a 2-8 to 0-9 scoreline. We played most of the game with fourteen men but held on for a thoroughly deserved victory. :)

Does anyone know the remaining fixtures for senior b? Can only see the next round on the website and there are 3 or 4 games left for each team

Number 6 Dromintee needs to look at himself this morning threw a totally false one off the ball he was subbed straight away but yellow lad

Harps should have had the game over at halftime, very dominant and squandered 2 great goal chances (the 2nd one clans went straight up the field and scored their 2nd goal).
CE were much better 2nd half. Turbo and Ryan Owens (3 great scores from play) really stepped up.
Harps played very strange and negative tactics from the first throw in first half. 2 sweepers which was hard to watch and very few playing as actual forwards. The 2 sweepers obv didnt work (and strangely deployed - 1 should have been infront of turbo if going to play that way) with the goals conceded.

Wise up... if Rian hadn't of started the whole lot there wouldn't of been anything. He's a lad that needs to wise up coming into the championship, he'll be a miss for cross if he continues with his actions...

Big score for CE last night - anyone at the game? @Rufus T Firefly ?

Yes, not often a team can score twenty one times and still lose by eight.

We dominated the first half, despite starting slowly. Clann Eireann got the first point and then scored a goal when two of our players jumped for the one high ball into the square and left the Clann Eireann attacker with a simple fist to the empty net. From there it was one way traffic. We notched 13 points but spurned a 3 on 1 goal chance. A further goal chance was spurned late on and from that Clann Eireann went the length of the pitch to get their second goal. With time running out, they notched another two points and we therefore went in leading by 0-13 to 2-5 - a scoreline that did not do justice to our dominance, and yet that was totally our own fault.

We started the second half positively and strectched our lead to 4 / 5 but when Clann Eireann got their third goal and a few points, we were suddenly chasing the game. Play really became stretched in the last quarter, with points flying at both ends, but we could not manage to draw level. Late on, another needless mistake gave Clann Eireann their fourth goal and the game was won.

I'd have to say that Clann Eireann were deserving of their victory. They showed us how to finish for a goal, and I would have to say that some of their movement in the second half was excellent. Their point taking though was sensational, and they flew over from all angles.

That was an important league game for us. Winning that would have eased relegation worries and kept us in the hunt for a top four place, but we were undone by a succession of unforced errors, but fair play to Clann Eireann- they did not look the gift horse in the mouth.

1) Harps playing 2 sweepers with the breeze at their backs was horrible to watch, (2) playing lennon so far out the field and at times one and on a rare occasion only 2 men in the opponents half. (3) conceding 4-17 when playing with a 2 sweeper system, yes alot of scores came as the harps chased the game but they were chasing the game because of the failure of the system. (4) playing 2nd choice keeper who was nervous as hell under a high ball, and who was to blame for 1 if not 2 goals, and who kicked numerous balls over the sidine, while leaving a County keeper kicking his heels on the bench.
Yes Harps scored 21 points but it was against a team who are at the bottom end of the table for a reason,
Conceding 4-17 clearly showed that the system the harps played was a failure. It will be interesting to see if it's a lesson learned
