Both teams involved in some pushing and shoving and the red walked off. According to the sideline eye anyway.

no boxing or biting to which was very disappointing,

all round good game quite physical as you would expect, shame it was abandoned was leading into a good last quarter with Shane’s down by 2 playing with the wind

Not really tho Shanes had a man sent off already and a few yellows. Then conveniently the match gets abandoned before they’ve the chance to get another rightly sent off

Nonsense. It was a tight enough match but clans were full of verbals off the ball the whole game. Even when a Shane’s lad reacted it was nothing. Ref took the opportunity to walk off the pitch, both sides were bemused. If that’s the standard of refereeing in Armagh we are in trouble

By all accounts everyone was bewildered at his decision to walk off. His report should be a good read, but we will probably never see it.
