Loads of issues with that articleYes I can.
As far as not printing the name, it’s not uncommon for that to happen on letters pages if a name and address is supplied to the editor. There’s the debate, should it have been made into a story. In my opinion definitely not.
However, as I say, I can guarantee you the Irish News did not approach a former player to write a letter.
It's anonymity is exceptionally poor journalism
Was the alleged author authenticated?
How can you guarantee the player wasn't approached unless the same letter arrived at other media outlets which would mean you are party to the name.
This person seems to have attacked individuals and every club in the county
Is there more?
If the author wants the job go to the Athletic Grounds and present their credentials to the entire county board
It now means that all former county players could be the alleged author - more than likely it's either someone who has played with or was managed by Kieran
A poor article which perhaps reflects the standard of person
I do believe the article would have had more kudos if a name was assigned to it.
If a name comes forward now all credibility is gone.
