Giving it their best shotCan someone please explain the expression "having an absolute cut off it". I've never heard this & have no idea what it means!

I’ve always said “have a good cut at it” not off it.Can someone please explain the expression "having an absolute cut off it". I've never heard this & have no idea what it means!
Ah yes- very different then from 'being half cut' on which basis I initially thought Aaron was giving some dodgy adviceGiving it their best shot
I see McQuillan cannot play for U20 tomorrow night due to suspension still in place from row with the Gargoyles last year.Any Madden lads on here shine any light on Grimley’s injury? He had a massive game the last day and I think without him we might not fully expose the obvious weakness that Mayo has in that sector now.
If he’s unfit I think it will be Crealey or Charlie to come in but also increasing likelihood that we will see Oisin come in for his first action of the season.
Oh no, the Ross McQuillian thread again! I'm saying nothing.................although so are the ones spouting about him a few months ago on here until @Calm1 raised the ruling that he couldn't play until U20s was over...................... So, technically, if we are beat tomorrow at U20, he is eligible for the seniors?/ and then the debate will start all over again.I believe Ross Mcquillian cant play for Armagh seniors until under 2o have been put out as it has always been the aim that he would play for the under 2o team. I am not sure how true this is. Not available tomorrow night due to suspension, he has played a few games for the under 20 this year in warm up games. Does anyone know if he has been playing for Cullyhanna? Talented player but my opinion would be the same with Oisin Oneill next year could be his year.

Suspension only applies in the same code at the same level in the same competition, so it would carry over from last year's U20 to be served this year as far as I read it. To be honest it makes it totally unfair and inappropriate as some players will not serve a second of suspension as that game last year would have been their act one anyway. I'm not 100% sure that's correct, but believe it is. I'm open to help and correction on it.I believe Ross Mcquillian cant play for Armagh seniors until under 2o have been put out as it has always been the aim that he would play for the under 2o team. Aye but it's getting confusing now. As far as I was aware (in a former life - different soap so different character - see what I did there??) if a player was eligible for U20 he played at that level. If he played senior county he then became illegible to play U20. I seen earlier today that Fermanagh announced that now their U20 lads had finished with senior football, they were available for U20 this week. I thought that wasn't allowed, but obviously I interpreted it wrong.Oh no, the Ross McQuillian thread again! On this occasion and seeing as it's you, a proper supporter, full of passion and conviction, I would just like to apologise, but I'm not that nice, so I won't so I won't!Oi stop stealing my lines
Good stat, maith thű a Liam!Didn’t Andy Moran play in the U21 final against us in 04 ?
He's playing for Cullyhanna alright. Was exceptional against Dromintee. Maybe he's heading off to Austrailia.I believe Ross Mcquillian cant play for Armagh seniors until under 2o have been put out as it has always been the aim that he would play for the under 2o team.
