On the topic of the league.
I noticed 2 of our fixtures are at 5pm on a Saturday; Kerry v Armagh in Tralee and Armagh v Galway in the Athletic grounds. Surely these games should be played at 7pm when both grounds have floodlight capacity?

I’d say it’s to allow for travel time home for the away fans.

With the league starting at the end of the month would it not be better to play what would be considered our strongest team in the next upcoming games, surely by now management are aware of the abilities of their squad players without any more trials.
You will find loads aren't available midweek as Sigerson is on. It's all about fitness like the challenge game yesterday.

It's TV alright. Plus it's a long spin home from Tralee so the 2 hrs will help.

I remember driving to Tralee back in 2012, stayed 2 nights, before driving home. I was knackered even after that, so driving down and up in the same day would be insane.

You’re insane, so you are :p

Ach yeah, I know it’s not possible for everyone to stay over, but frig me, it’s a lot of driving in the one day.

There must be a lot of Armagh people staying, or we'll all have to drive back, there is feck all accommodation in Tralee that night.

I heard a while back there was no accommodation available. Ukrainian refugees maybe?

The train would be a great way to travel down, but even if you managed to get a train after the match, you’d have to stay somewhere because the last train from Clarksville Dublin is about 8pm.

Lads deserve their chance how will we ever change the team if we don’t play new lads? I’m sure anyone that is getting game time has earned in in training.

Exactly, with injuries and some players not getting a full preseason, you need to develop a squad, not an ideal starting 15.

1.O’Neill
2.o’Neill
3.McConville
4Turbitt
5.Soupy
6.Grugan
7.Nugent
8.Woods
9.Kierans
10. Murnin
11.Hall
12.Duffy
13.McQuillan
14.Kelly
15. McConville (st peters)

Just off the top of my head, 14 very good forwards if all are fit, serious competition for places in that forward line and i’m probably missing someone obvious

This may indeed be true of some forward positions. The players who impressed, like McConville who was always going to get into the team, or newcomers like Woods, are forwards.
Two decades ago Andy Mallon came in and immediately added to a good team, it would be great to see a new back have a similar impact.
Higgins and mccambridge played wel the other day maybe they are the hopes

Heard the Dubs beat Armagh by two points, they played three separate games 25 mins each and both teams fielded close to full strength in the first game, Armagh were ahead at the end of this first 25 mins then both teams made changes and at the end of the match Dublin won by 2 points.
