Hopefully see another bit of improvement and maybe a few extra minutes for a few. Also is it still early to see a few extra of the more experienced players named that have not played yet? While i would be very disappointed if we dont win its a huge banana skin. On their day kildare are a good team. Their day just seems to be few and far between this past year or so

I'd say now we will drip the likes of Rian murnin and the cullyhanna lads back, but in saying that I'd like to see Kelly get some game time maybe mcpartlan, we have plenty of options anyway

This is a dangerous time to meet Kildare. They weren’t as bad as that last scoreline suggests, they had 2 black cards and both were harsh, a mountain of wides, missed a penalty, and an absolute howler from the goalkeeper for the Fermanagh goal. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them raise their levels and put in a better performance for us, then fall back to mediocrity for the rest of the league.

I see their county chairman read the riot act after that last defeat, putting some pressure on manager Glenn Ryan for much improved performances/results. Agree, dangerous time to meet Kildare-particularly if they make good use of the break to assess things. Some very good players in that squad.

The only chance they have is us under performing (which is a real possibility).
I disagree, I do think we are more seasoned and experienced and have shown more, but this Kildare team is young and have the raw materials to be better than us

I think on most days we will win-but given the potential that is in their squad, Kildare are seriously underperforming and the battle cries coming from down there are for them to turn it around this weekend. A third loss, and they are looking at a real possibility of playing in the Thingymajig Cup. They will have had a chance over the break to assess things and be fired up for facing us. We are much better than them, but if we have another slow start to this game and Kildare get a bit of early momentum, it will be sticky enough.

I can’t imagine that the public attack on Kildare’s squad and management team could possibly help them to come together and make an inspired effort against us. This game is entirely up to our own boys. Do we play hard and early…or not? I believe that we probably will!

Any news on the under 20s? Usually they play league or cup this time of year but haven't heard a word

Kildare bottom of the league know that they need to start getting points soon as dropping out of Sam is a real possibility based on their league position and championship draw.

I can't see us making a raft of changes with perhaps a few bench returns.

It's definitely a long time since we played in Carlow and I was last there at a club game which even then was a parking nightmare. The conditions could well be a major factor on Sunday and the later throw in time a real pain. Now to decide go through the Midlands or stick motorway and pay the rip of toles...

Yeah if we beat Kildare it looks like tailitian cup for them, they have Donegal, cork meath and Louth all teams that they could beat but they have as good a chance to beat Kildare, would be a disgrace for that team to be in that competition

I think Kildare have a good chance of qualifying for the AI as a provincial finalist. They're on the easier side of Leinster

Good win for Ulster uni in sigerson final, Emmett Magee playing from clan eireann, any county player I talk to says that competition is the closest standard to count football, we have had some players play over the last 3 years with very few on the county panel. Hopefully they can start making more of a push, lads like Sean McCarthy, Sean rock, Kieran Hughes and Conor McConville among a few that havent played county after starting at that level
