I think the Rian one speaks for itself anyway. Maybe the burden didn't sit well with the lad. He has enough on his plate (both onfield and potentially off-field) to worry about without that added extra pressure. Hope to God he gets himself sorted first and foremost, and then push on and have a really good year in the Armagh jersey

No he has had grugan as captain a few years ago and then maybe Campbell, but then went with Rian and Nugent for 2 years and now forker. I think it's a great choice imo he is always a good performer who works hard and will lead from the front. On there being no crossmaglen players, we have Cian and oisin on the bench with oisin coming back from injury so minding him, then Rian just back training and Morgan injured, cumiskey on the panel and will be used more often than not. all other cross players either left panel a few years ago IE Hughes and Clarke or maybe too young,

I think it it will be 2.14 to 0.10 I think the way Armagh set up will limit louths attack, I expect mulroy to score frees mainly and the way Armagh have been going seems like they are going for goals so I expect a few. I know im being optimistic lol but I always think you need to aim for 20 points a game and Armagh did that more often than not in 2022 so hopefully we can do that again with it being division 2

I agree with many comments on here so far - that named line out seems much too defensive. We believe that we have a host of good forwards, yet we name 2 half backs as half forwards???
It doesn't bode well for the style of football that we are going to play - no big ball winning full forward (2 O'Neills. Morning etc) - will we play a more running game with fewer long deliveries in to the full forward line?

Hopefully I am wrong and we beat Louth by 6 or 7 points......but if we were to lose, then the critics will rightly be shouting loudly.

So just because a club team are championship winners some of those players should be on the first 15 of their county team?

Good luck to Kieran, Kieran, Ciaran & the squad tomorrow night.
This is not a straight forward game. Louth have been on an upward curve under Mickey's reign and they'll want to prove a point tomorrow as they didn't take being dropped by him too well. They'll come with a full team and I don't think they'll fear our line-out.
Expect a very organised Louth team with lots of high balls in on top of Blaine.
It's not too often we win anything comfortably so I'd expect plenty of hairy moments tomorrow night.
I hope I'm feeling a lot more comfortable at h-t but can't help but feel a little nervous about this game.
