I'd like to see Jary in midfield and a more attack minded half back line with pace and line breakers. Conor O'Neill fits this role as does Forker but maybe someone like McQuillan, TK, Duffy or Ciaran Mackin would work too.
You'd have McQuillan,Duffy or Kelly playing in half back line & you call McGeeney clueless

My suggestion is that the style is fundamentally the same, but that the best teams are marked by their superior execution.

More accuracy on the break, more incisive line breakers, better long range shooters = more scores = the appearance of a more attacking approach.

Marry this with effective implementation of the standard defensive structures and you’re onto a winner.
I find some merit in that also, however the better teams seem to be able to flick the switch and create a different play when needed. I can't rem the last time I came away from an Armagh game and everyone talking about a wow moment. We have serious talent in that panel who are capable of those wow moments but we just aren't seeing it.

Coaching isn't an easy role and I'm not into slating management continually as they are doing what a lot would never do. However there is something not right here, I would say there is a fair bit of experienced lads posting here as regard football and we are all of a similiar opinion so it seems pretty obvious.

I actually felt uncomfortable sitting in the crowd on Saturday evening as the frustrations have spilt over into every wee thing that now happens. We had people shouting at players to shoot from 50 yards out in the first half, In my head I was going some of these people haven't a scooby doo. We all know how hard it is to shoot into that top net without a strong wind. But these wee things are just a further spill over of the all round frustrations and I honestly hate to see Armagh fans shouting at Armagh players.

Tbf I think it was a combination of things which resulted in crowd frustrations
the poor play which we saw throughout the first half .
The defensive nature of the setup and continuous lateral passing
Remember it took over 20 minutes to get a point in the board
I actually thought it was as poor a first half performance as I have seen in years from Armagh .

I agree with this. On another note, I cant ever remember seeing a 45 kicked backwards before; then Saturday happened
I dont think it was a 45 Grugan got a free was frustrating that he didn't bring oisin off the bench a bit quicker when it was obvious how bad we struggled with frees and how louth have decided thats what they were going to do foul us out the pitch.....

In first half Grugan passed one back, dropped another short, turbitt dropped one short and then when Blaine was at the back of his run up for a 45 someone else ran in and played a pass before he shot it. All either on or inside the 45. Thought Blaine should’ve been brought up to hit all of those off the ground, to kill time against the wind if nothing else. Couldnt have done worse than 0/4.

The one he did kick in the first half just about held up in the wind. If he had come for all them frees and missed them he’d have been getting some abuse on here. Although he should have kicked the one in the second half that McPartland hardly got off the ground.
