Mackin boys were excellent yesterday along with there own club man Mcabe. They all covered some ground.
Alot of boys will be disappointed when they're dropped for others to come back in. Take for example yesterday Jemar being dropped for Rian.

I do wonder if Sunday could turn into neither side wanting to show their hand early in the season. Grugan, Murnin and P Burns are likely out after knocks and do you really want Rian thrown in and targeted etc. We can afford to rest players and still be in track with wins in the following 2 games enough for promotion.

Hard to know. We tried that in Ballybofey couple of years ago and ended up resting a good few starters, played I think Rian and Grugan and ended up in a row and got tanked by them in the championship anyway. Hard to beat momentum.

I think a win at home to the only decent team we’re realistically going to play until an Ulster final would do us the world of good

Up to the boys with jerseys to hang on to them. Conaty for example if he keeps his form up is undroppable.

Both the social media posts and official Armagh GAA website show Sunday's match v Donegal @ 3.00pm, as does the GAA Website

Ticketmaster has it down for 3.45.

Presumably ticketmaster has it wrong? Does anyone know for sure?

Good win for Ulster uni in sigerson final, Emmett Magee playing from clan eireann, any county player I talk to says that competition is the closest standard to count football, we have had some players play over the last 3 years with very few on the county panel. Hopefully they can start making more of a push, lads like Sean McCarthy, Sean rock, Kieran Hughes and Conor McConville among a few that havent played county after starting at that level
Would be a sad day the day McCarthy lines out for the seniors.

The older heads are still the main men really - Forker, Grugan, Campbell. Murnin too is a great weapon in full forward. Hopefully he can continue last season’s form
Forker undoubtedly. People saying Murnin's best days are behind him after his first game back? Hard to take seriously. He's one of the first 3/4 men on the team when back to full fitness.

If we look at the big stage last year v Monaghan. Unfortunately Grugan and Soupy were passengers.

Doing it in an AI quarter final rather than a league game against a Kildare team who wouldn't get out of division 3 is very different.

Rian, Jason Duffy, a fully fit Oisin O'Neill, Turbitt, McKay (along with Forker & Murnin) would be my idea of the main men. Although young - Conaty could fast become one.

McKay/ Morgan
Forker
Oisin
Rian
Murnin/ Turbitt

That would be my idea of the spine of the team if all fully fit. Have to mention Duffy for his work rate.

Agreed, but still think Grugan and Soupy have loads to offer, even if its only for a half.

Big fan of Turbo but need to see him perform against a top team- was great in Ulsted last year up until the final. Hope him and Rian can click well together they’d be hard stopped.

They undoubtedly do. And agreed - Turbo in the early rounds of Ulster last year was superb. Then struggled against Down and Derry.

But my heart still stops a little every time I think of when it was announced over the loudspeaker in Croke Park v Monaghan that Conor Turbitt will be replaced by Joe McElroy.

That's nothing against McElroy. Turbitt is a class forward and employing Joe to curtail the runs of a 35/36 year old veteran in Karl O'Connell was a worrying call.

Mental how in only a couple of months Donegal went from being dog shit to people on here fearing them due to Jim McGuinness. We should be winning on Sunday, we’re 10 years into our project Donegal are 10 weeks into theirs…
Donegal always had the players and have been dining at the top table for a long time

They'd a poor season by their standards last year not helped by management change and loss of some players

This year they're buoyed by a returning all Ireland winning manager and players.

They didn't play against us last year but if they'd sorted their shooting they could have won.

I expect a very tight game
