In fairness their club coach is part of management so I'm sure their abilities are well known.

We don't see training so don't see what's going on.
We missed frees, hit the post and arguably three goal opportunities went missing

The weather this past week or so must have played havoc with preparations

It'd been nice to win today but focus now on Fermanagh

They didn’t pick McMullan out of the crowd to play ffs. He’s been part of the panel all year

He’s the defence coach. 1 person out of a management team of 6.

Irregardless, all of those 3 lads were important players to feature for Armagh over the last 2-3 seasons. Went back to their club after last season and won everything in front of them. Then come back to Armagh and hardly get a sniff?

Our senior champions - dominating Armagh for the last 2-3 decades can’t get one player on the field?

Instead a 20-21 year old debutant (nothing personal against the lad - just an example) is entrusted to help deliver silverware?

Armagh had a brilliant league campaign, why? They let off the shackles and played to their strengths. Then today, shackles back on, mind games activated.

Have the management not learned their lesson from the Galway/Monaghan all Ireland QF’s and Ulster final?

McGeeney can only silence his critics by beating Derry in the Ulster final next month. A D2 league title isn’t changing any opinions

IMO if McGeeney won today, regardless of what happens in Ulster, he would be Armagh manager next year. Now he has to win ulster and/or make all ireland semi-final minimum.

For what it’s worth, I really rate Jason Duffy and hope he’s back in for the championship. But McElroy has been occupying his role this year and playing very well. Understandable that Duffy has to bide his time right now, but he’ll be important again this year.

Aidan Nugent has really struggled to make an impact since his injury. I’m not sure who you drop out of Murnin, Turbitt or Conaty to make room for him, or how that could be justified. Hopefully he can get back to his form of two or three years ago, but he’s clearly not there right now.

And, for whatever reason, McQuillan is yet to deliver on his potential in an Armagh jersey. There’s just very little in his back catalogue of performances to justify significant playing time.

Niall - we agree on most on here and debate is great but that was a crazy decision to make today - certainly not nonsense to challenge it! And of course it wouldn't be an issue for an experienced player - that's the point.

Derry and Dublin getting a bit feisty. The first red card was very soft. Very minimal contact and the Derry man just went to ground.

If similar scenes had happened in our match there would be uproar. Doubt the same will happen for either Dublin or Derry

Stop calling a D2 title a “national title”. Winning the all-Ireland means you’re the best team in the nation, thus it’s a national title. Winning D1 makes you the best of the top 8 teams in the nation, also a national title.

Winning D2 means you’re the best of the of the 9th-16th best teams in the country. You’re the best of 8 midlevel teams, not the best in the nation

I agree with this, how many teams don't play a player from dominate club chams, we have great depth but when you start Joe McElroy and of burns in half forward line that is a negative set up imo, I'd have both in half back, we have 2 players not afraid to kick the ball forker and grugan and first sub off was one of those 2, I just feel we have no confidence in our own ability until the game is near lost, but look at Derry, who we should of beat last year, they believe in themselves, we don't that's the difference and maybe management has to take responsibility
