A superb performance... one of the best under mcgeeney. Started forker and Sheridan in half back to counter act their threat from kick outs and worked a treat. Midfield 5 of forker, Sheridan, Roland, Grimley and Charlie dominated for most of the first half. First 15 mins, armagh were very wasteful. Then they kicked into gear and were the better team for most of the game. Ethan Rafferty was superb and motm- kicking scores off right and left. Grugan has his best game this year to date, forker hit 2 cracking scores in Armagh’s purple patch in the second half. They showed great character after going a point down in the 2nd half, score 7 on the bounce. Paul Hughes carried very well and young burns is doing well in the corner. Roland excellent again and Charlie has become a revelation moving him back to the middle of the field. Constantly drove the team forward along with Grimley and Sheridan. A super win. A real opportunity for promotion beckons but Longford no pushovers. Had a good win over Derry today. Murnin must have been injured?

I enjoyed the game today, particularly the second half. Actually out of the ground I was thinking we have actually improved overall as a team. That’s the second game in a row where you could honestly say all of the lads played well. Ethan rafferty was absolutely brilliant today. Followed by McKay forker, midfield 2 and grugan

Took until 18 mins to score and we could have been out of sight at half time. Thought that would bite us when they scored the goal but our response was superb. Outscired them 1-9 to 0-2 after that. Rafferty got some wonder scores

Not trying deliberately trying to find a negative from what was a good afternoon-but I really hope that Murnin (if injured) is not out of the picture for long. He has an important role to play for us to realize any of our ambitions this year-but he has been very injury although it looked last year that he had shook that jinx off. Rafferty and Murnin in the forward line present a very difficult challenge for an opposition to figure out.
McParland on the bench today?

And not a bad weekend alround-Armagh victory, Ireland winning in the Rugby at Paris, and a second defeat for the Midgets. Maybe we will be playing them next year in the League
