Yes i believe so. Have to remember Oisin is among the top 4-5 players in the county and is on par with his brother for quality. Serious player.

Much said amongst gaels in the county and on here recently about Rian and Jarly Og being future Armagh captains. Oisin in my opinion is a captain waiting to happen.

I think it goes without saying that you don't see the best of either O'Neill on the pitch without the other. Oisin was unfortunate getting the injury last year when he did after a fantastic campaign with Cross.

Undoubtedly a starter for Armagh and if it were the case that he was fit and not used on Saturday and a defeat followed - it would be a serious managerial error.

I'm a fan of McGeeney though and I trust he will know best as to whether Oisin is fit to go or not on Saturday.

He has to be closer. I expect to see him involved at some stage on Saturday if not from the start. He would relish the Monaghan game.

I'm getting more confident as the week goes on. I really believe we can beat Monaghan. Lets hope Geezer and the lads send us all home from Clones with a good performance and more importantly a win.

I think Geezer has protected Oisin to date as he knew there’d definitely be another day out. This now is last chance saloon time so I do believe he will enter the fray. If he doesn’t and we get beat I also believe this will be an error by management. If he’s 75% fit he’s able for last 20 mins and I do believe he will make a major impact on the game if introduced. Literally, there’s very little between the brothers in my opinion. Both outstanding players. We need to see him on Saturday night at some point.

Anyone know what was the injury he had during the Ulster club championship that required an operation?
At the time it's said a moon boot was being worn in between games.
As we've all seen when anyone has been out for some time that other niggles can occur.
A fit Oisin is a huge boost to any team

Ankle injury I’m sure

Yes an ankle injury. Played on it against Gweedore. For me that's a clear sign of the fight and spirit in the man. Class footballer. Probably has to work harder to get to the top of his potential than Rian but a super player. I would imagine Kieran knows if this man is anywhere near fit and needed he will be involved. If fully fit one of the first men named on the team.

The programme went to print Thursday with a team in it yet none announced here....
Exactly. Why this team wasn't named last night and this morning at the latest is ridiculous. Some gesture to the supporters who pay their money and spend their evening/night to go and watch the team.

What is even more annoying is that the named team probably won't be the team that starts.

Disrespectful to the supporters of the county.

FFS, team naming is a pain in the hole in my opinion. What is the big deal. I have always thought it was a nonsense and put the management under unnecessary pressure.

Exactly.... sure for talk say they name a team because of a deadline, then one fella who is a 50/50 declares himself fit and comes him, supporters moan anyway. Soccer teams don't name teams to an hour 30 before kick off and no-one seems to care, time to move with the times.

So your decision on attending a match is based on the team named?!?!o_O

You kind of poo-pooed your own point there.

No my point is they have even less to lose by naming it :(

How do you mean?

I don’t see the point in getting upset about the naming of a dummy team. Most people pay no heed to it.

Sure if the fans/opposition all know... *sigh* ...that the named team won’t start, then naming a team at all is a pointless exercise, is it not?
