Yeah I know what you mean. Maghery in particular seem to have that confidence that they can actually beat Cross, unlike a lot of teams over the last 25 years or so. I hope Cross get back to winning ulsters and all Irelands very soon because that can only help us as a county
Maghery don't look too confident this evening.

Have to say Cross have been very impressive. Running, tackling, support play and their shooting has been top drawer. Maghery off to the worst possible start with a freak own goal, from which they struggled to recover. Maghery men failing with absolute basics. Slow, ponderous and getting caught in possession. Last ten minutes or so they have tried to push up on Cross kickouts and gone man to man, which has stemmed the tide but it might already be too late.

Unexpected to say the least. The early goal busted Maghery. They simply couldn’t get into any rhythm. They needed to keep it tight and restrict us. The further we went ahead the harder it was going to be for them as they are not a toe to toe team. We would always win a shoot out.

Unfortunately no matter what now I can’t make us underdogs for the final…..how will I cope!

Good crowd in the Athletic grounds. Friday doesn't suit me at all, but it seems to suit the Armagh public. Seemingly Armagh teenagers hanging out in a GAA ground, which can't be a bad thing for the future.
Cross put in the work rate this evening, compared to their approach against Dromintee, bar a few sloppy passes in the second half when the pressure was off. Just as well Dromintee didn't squeeze a win last time.

Very impressive by Cross. As stated, Maghery had a nightmare of a start with a bizarre own goal. Cross though brought an intensity to the game that Maghery couldn't live with, with every Maghery man under pressure in possession and every Rangers man in possession having options. Rangers then started kicking some top class points, many from long range, and the game was essentially over.

Maghery stuck at it in the second half and could gave had more than the one goal they scored, with high balls in unsettling the Rangers defence. But as the game got stretched, their attackers were really prominent with Cian McConville and Jamie Clarke showing some lovely inter play that resulted in scotes. However Rian I thought was everywhere, making a great catch in his own square one minute, and then setting up scores at the other end.

Actually thought Rian was quiet by his own standards - although that could well be because his team mates played so well. A bad start meant Maghery never had a chance.

On a separate note with the type of refereeing we had tonight it is no wonder Armagh county team get accused of being over physical. I like referees who let the game go a bit but think in a few games in the championship this year it has gone too much the other way.

The early goal and following few points killed the game. Cross very good going forward. Still suspect at the back. I could be wrong but have they played 3 different full backs in the 3 games so far? Clarke is a joy to watch.

What a performance by cross. Such a unbelievable forward line and forward play to watch and enjoy. No doubt if they get over the final which the shall comfortably no reason why they can’t win ulster. Jamie Clarke is just unbelievable and worth the entrance fee alone let’s hope he’s back with Armagh soon

As far as I know winning the championship would have made no difference to their league placing. They would still have been in 1b next year

This particular ref has his own set of rules and will get someone hurt.
