I just hope the 400 who do get in properly socially distancey.

Spoke to someone lately who went to an underage match, and very few were properly socially distancey (and a few of them were actually nurses!).

I don’t know about you, but in the middle of a pandemic, I don’t fancy being near someone shouting, spitting, screaming or foaming at the mouth during a game (I suppose I could just leave the wife at home though).

Predictions?

Clann Eireann v Granemore
St. Peter’s v Harps
Cross v Silverbridge
Killeavy v Grange
Mullaghban v Annaghmore
Pearse Ogs v Cullyhanna
Ballymacnab v Madden
Dromintee v Maghery

Clann Eireann v Granemore easy win
St. Peter’s v Harps easy win
Cross v Silverbridge if cross don’t win by 10 I’ll eat my old boots
Killeavy v Grange Grange where in intermediate b last year for a reason, 15 points + win for us
Mullaghban v Annaghmore Mullaghbawn still an intermediate level team
Pearse Ogs v Cullyhanna tight game of by 1 or 2
Ballymacnab v Madden nab have too much
Dromintee v Maghery Cant stomach it to tip Dromintee

Predictions?

Clann Eireann v Granemore - Granemore by a brave bit
St. Peter’s v Harps Harps by a brave bit.
Cross v Silverbridge- Cross to win but wont have it all their own way
Killeavy v Grange- Tough one to call, Grange lost one of their best players to injury last week which might swing it to Killeavy. Gonna say Grange by 2.
Mullaghban v Annaghmore Mullaghbawn by 4
Pearse Ogs v Cullyhanna Another tough one to call, Cullyhanna by 2
Ballymacnab v Madden. Should be close, but Nab to win out
Dromintee v Maghery- will be closer than they have been in previous years but Maghery by a few

Small fancy for the Bridge to turnover Cross at the weekend. History and all is definitely against them, but the disruption of the pandemic levels the playing field a bit. The Bridge have been quietly improving for several seasons now, and have last year's county minor champions to add into the mix. Cross have been a bit wobbly in the handful of league games we've had to date, and have a new unproven manager.

Wouldn't be putting the house on it or anything, Cross are still Cross after all, but at 7/1 the upset might be worth a tenner.

Yeah Cross won’t get it easy in that one and the Bridge have the strength round the middle to not be bullied. Still think Cross have too much up front though.

Definitely. We are far from where we have been in previous seasons. To be honest I’m glad it has been changed from Cullyhanna as that would have favoured the Bridge. Wouldn’t be surprised if the beat us.

This is the Nabs year. They beat us comfortably in the league so they now have the confidence. Pity they won’t get the chance to go to Ulster and even at that their championship win this year will likely have an asterisk beside it...

Now now it may well be the Nabs year but I highly doubt that the Cross team that played that night will play in the championship...

Funny you picked Cullyhanna in the Forecast thread. You’ll be correct on one thread anyway, Bull ;)
