Slightly of topic but: Is Jarly Og’s name actually Jarly? Or is it Jarlath Og?

Next thing our team sheet will name Soupy Campbell, Aidey Nugent, Brendy Donaghy and Jemmy Hall.

As for that team starting, I don’t think there’ll be as many changes as some think. Paddy Burns definitely starts.
Jemmy???
Why do you reckon Burns def starts?

Grimley broke his hand a few weeks ago. I would have been surprised had he started, or if he does start
Hadn't heard that. Makes sense then why he's not starting!

Jarly Og was involved in most of the league matches. However I would agree, surprising team selection.
I was at or watched nearly all our league games and I don't remember him starting many, if any and when he did play it was generally toward the end of games. Happy to be told otherwise. I know that he did have a fine Sigerson campaign and was on the team of the year. Big call to start him in the Championship, but form and injuries could well have swung it for him. I hope he plays well.

The very best to our team on Sunday. It goes without saying that I want the win, but I would also like to see a performance to match. We've let ourselves down badly over the last two years in Ulster, where we just haven't turned up and have looked like we've had no idea of what our game plan was. I really hope we can move past that on Sunday and play like we know we can. I have no doubt that we have better players and a team than Down, we just have to show it.

If it isn't the team that starts and it is just a curve ball, why would you use players and force them to go through people coming up to them wishing them well for the game, for some a cship debut when they already know deep down they are not getting starting and have to lie to people.
For the avoidance of that alone - I hope that is the team that starts even though there are some strange omissions!

Maybe young Burns is trying to forge his own identity, and not just be Jarlath’s son. Not calling himself Jarlath could be the way to do that.

Aye it’s weird alright.

I just think they should stop announcing teams altogether. Sure what’s the point?

I am of that opinion too. In soccer matches the team is announced the hour before the game. I don't see why the same can't be done. Have a squad at the start of the season and give them all a squad number. List the squad in the program, 1-26 or whatever and then name the team when the announcements are being made pre-game. Issue solved.

Jarlath.
And Charlie's Mrs likes you to call him Charles

Charlie takes on an alter ego when I hear him being called ‘Charles’. This is what I picture...

- Oh Charles?
- Yes, Dear?
- Would thou like Pheasant for supper?
- I can’t hear y... [switches off the Bentley]. Pardon, dear?
- Pheasant, for supper?
- Oh yes, that would be splendid, dear.

We’ll never look at Charlie in the same way again.

I think it’s best we only call him Charlie :D

can you get tickets in O'Kanes or is it just online?
Stan as far as I can make out it's "usual outlets"! Ulster GAA have it that tickets will be on sale outside the ground also. Possibly like last week they're not expecting a massive crowd.

Am I right in thinking that Jim McCorry plotted our downfall last time out in Newry for championship (or at least contributed)?
