Down will carrier a real goal threat next week and if they get one that'll only give them encouragement that they can get more. Keeping them goalless will go a long way to towards the win.
They won’t kick more points than we will. Liam Kerr a real danger man for them, big job for McCambridge if he’s fit

Totally agree. Down don't look like a side that should be causing us many problems. Liam Kerr's pace was the one thing that stood out. Ryan Johnson also has pace and would be dangerous when we are turned over.

Armagh will kick 20 points I'd imagine. Keeping goals out will be the winning of the game. Down probably need 3 goals to have a chance.

Not everyone would agree but I wouldn't mind Rian dropping in behind midfield. Similar to what he did for Cross against Maghery last year.

Keep goals out and we win comfortably. Rian playing deep would ensure this. Further down the road we will need Rian at the other end, but I'd sacrifice what he brings as a forward next week as we have enough without him to comfortably win.

If he plays a forward role and kicks 8 points like he did last time against Down I'll take it though.

Apparently so around 3pm. Should be a decent crowd. 9k yesterday and their game and 14k at ours but saying Sunday could be close to 30k. Will be no shortage tickets
Cheers. Be serious crowd if weather is good probably near a sell out, been a while from Down have had anything to cheer about and we love a trip to Clones.

I wouldn't underestimate down but we should win they have a few excellent young players but they are all playing for the 20s on Wednesday so with the new rule can't play Sunday am I right with that? 5 days apart so can't play?
I'd play Rian at 11 and leave turbitt where he is

Would have been harsh to rule that as a square ball
If that still is accurate and shows the ball being played before he steps into the small rectangle area, then it is not, under current rules a square ball. It is defined and entering the area after the ball has been played in. In fact at that point he is entitled to stand and wait for the ball to arrive, as long as it is played in first. Under the previous rule a player would only be allowed to follow the flight of the ball entering as the ball crossed into the area. It was impossible to accurately police it - relax. It's not real police!!!

Agreed. Need Grimley back asap and need more from Rian, Crealey, Mackin and Jarly Og on kickouts. Think that long kick and flick on could work and will get us goals this year but need a plan b.
that's exactly the type of scenario I think Jamar is perfect for. His speed in collecting the dirty broken ball, a la Martin O'Rourke back in the day, could be crucial and needs exploiting. But then we all know that is the plan all along anyway!!!!
