I

If they're wise finish whatever has started and abandon the rest.
Can't see how proper team preparations can take place - surely it would take 3-4weeks minimum to prepare properly
I think Joe that's where the problem lies. All competitions have started so need finished, possibly because a lot of these lads will not qualify by age after January or whenever the current age limits change/adjust. I guess they could make a dispensation for one year, but that might take a special vote. Not really sure. U17 for example here in Ulster, Monaghan played Cavan in the preliminary round the first weekend before the games were suspended during the following week.

There's merit in what you say, but would just be hard to tell lads that might be dying to get their only chance at county football for a few years, that the chance is removed, especially with the like of MacLarnon and MacRory suspended as well for the foreseeable. Rumour has it that these competitions may be scraped for this school year completely. Now that would be a shame. So many senior county players are proud of their involvement in schools games.

Is it me or does Sean Cavanagh seem to analyse with a smirk and contempt for all other ulster teams?

Also agree with O Se regarding naming of teams.
Give a squad out and the starting 15 is announced 30mins before throw in

Also the water breaks must go. We play two halves of football not 4 quarters

I know there has been serious conversations and discussions, many on here and the old forum, about the money that Dublin receive compared to other counties. Indeed I've commented many times about it myself and haven't always been complimentary about it, but watching that game this evening (was gonna call it a match, but more like the usual mismatch), it struck me, in relation to funding, however we perceive it, if you don't have quality, money won't change a thing. It will most definitely buy and fund fantastic facilities and give players the best equipment, but taking on board the craic that @PatMustard and @ragingbull just made about playing for or managing this Dublin team, it about sums it up. They are that good at the minute and changing any link, doesn't change them. First half they just paced themselves and in the second half they just powered away from Cavan without ever getting out of second gear. Yes there should have been a black card for Dublin early on, but that was a mistake by the ref and not critical because they most likely would have rode out the 10 minute storm (actually more like a gentle breeze, but I'll be kind). Overall the ref wasn't that bad. In fact he didn't have a lot to do as both teams just got on with it for the most part and Cavan just sucked up the fact they were being out classed and played to the end. A sad end to a strange year for them with a defeat they probably don't deserve.

From the records one of the most one sided semi-finals was Mayo v Armagh in 1950, an Armagh team which beat the mighty Cavan team of that era in the Ulster final were destroyed by Mayo who went on to win two titles in a row.
