Think it was a split second late because the lad had kicked it but you’re never going to be able to stop if you’re committed to the hit, probably a yellow

Wall definitely the issue moreso than the hit! Hope the fella makes a speedy recovery!

Yes the ball had gone but I take your point if comitted it is hard to pull back from that scenario. I wasn't there I was just wondering how the ref dealt with it. I also agree on the fences and walls around pitches. Massive accident waiting to happen.

Yep.
I'd take a final score of 6-0 to 0-17 any day. Still a winning score under the current rules (not saying I could sit and watch it though - that's a different discussion!)

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but when would the final be? I'm trying to plan for it with some friends visiting.

I honestly can't see that down team putting up much of a fight. They were brutal against Antrim. Do what needs to be done and regroup for the final. Then and only then will we know where that Armagh team is at this year.

I can see a reaction from Down. They were woeful against Antrim and Laverty was seething. He's used to the highest of standards with Kilcoo and he won't tolerate that. So I expect Down to bring far more intensity and quality into this game. HOWEVER, I don't think that will last for the full game and we are way ahead of them, whether it's in playing ability, conditioning or tactically and I expect us to win by six or seven points. You could argue that we would then go into an Ulster Final undercooked or fresh and ready to attack the game with everything we've got, with whoever is on the other side of the draw being battered and bruised.

Silk cloth and sows ear springs to mind. Laverty can seeth all he wants but Down just aren’t very good. We need to bring a similar intensity to Fermanagh and kill them off early, stop them getting any notions.

Maybe, but being a third seed could see them in a group with Dublin and us which could then see them playing a preliminary QF against a useful side like Tyrone or Donegal. Too many steps to trip on.

I thought Cork were a decent side when they played us, and their performance today suggests that our result there was not a disgrace.
