Conor Turbitt has been sensational in McKenna cup and now against Cavan

I could be wrong but I made it that turbitt scored 1-05. A great debut for the young lad. We put the game to bed early in the second half which showed a ruthlessness that wasn't there last year. Has to be said Cavan are a woeful outfit and could get relegated. But a wins a win and a lot of positives.

Think was what 26 in 2nd before they scored. Goal was a free out then at end. Have to say Paddy Burns did a great job for a man with little or no football due to injury in over a year.

Bigger challenges ahead but nice start heading Portlaois

Yes Cavan perhaps a shadow of last years team but a really encouraging performance tonight, keep it up lads!!!

Overall, very pleasing performance tonight. Not sure if Cavan are poor or were simply made to look poor. Two points to build on heading to Laois - we carried the ball into traffic on too many occasions and at times, particularly in the first half, Cavan were able to cut through the centre of our defence. That said, we were physical throughout and have a healthy range of players who can take a score. Also, great to see the quality of players we were able to bring off the bench.

Yea heard it straight from a Cavan man. Few of the players were fed up and walked away. Not a great camp at the minute by all accounts.
