All Ireland Final

Paudie Clifford getting one for playing well against hurling teams. McShane or Conroy more deserving for me. Kilpatrick deserved one for his catch in the final alone.
Should Clifford not have got a Hurling All Star then? :D

It’s a bit strange to say a fella doesn’t deserve one for playing well in the Munster championship (3 games I think), but a man catches one ball, and deserves one?

It does raise a point though. I e always maintained if a player does something memorable, he’ll get an all star or have a decent semi or final, eg Gormley block, Canavan free, Mulligan goal, Donaghy in Limerick, etc

For me Rian O’Neill deserves an All Star ahead of Paudie Clifford. Rian gave probably the single best performance of the year and nearly dragged us over the line in spite of our defence against Monaghan. (Obviously can’t give an all star to someone who didn’t even play in a provincial final) Clifford looked great against shite teams in Munster when Kerry were winning by a cricket score but then was nowhere to be seen the first time they met a (boke) good team.

Anyway, it’s a bit like the balon dor in soccer definitely nothing to be taken too seriously.
