I've heard that story many times. I think it did happen.Confession is good for the soul.
I had my head buried in my hands and couldn't look
Apparently Gerry O'Neil ran onto the field and across Early just before he took that shot and shouted something. Did that really happen? I can't remember
Looks like Crokers basically completely sold out. Only hill tickets left.
Played for the first team v Granemore and Clann EireannPlaying for the seconds apparently
Playing with the first team according to sideline eye podcast the other day.Playing for the seconds apparently
I saw him at the game on Sunday, outside Packy Willies. I know he played in those recent games for Cross so you never know. He will be 33 by the time the season starts next year so maybe he's past his prime? It would be class to see him play with this team though if he could get his place. The problem he would have is his strength, if you look at our full forward line those three guys are tanks and all three are incredibly hard workers. I'm just not sure that role would suit Jamie. He gave us plenty of great memories though and it looks like he will join that long list of great Armagh players who just happened to miss out on the best teams.Played for the first team v Granemore and Clann Eireann
Would be good to see him involved- we all know the ability he has. Even as a last 15 minute sub option you know he’s always good for scores and a moment of magic.I saw him at the game on Sunday, outside Packy Willies. Jim McConville definitely near the top of that list.I saw him at the game on Sunday, outside Packy Willies. I know he played in those recent games for Cross so you never know. One thing about us is that we are a very balanced forum ..... we seems to have issues with every other County in Ireland .For reasons I could never quite pinpoint, I never really liked Roscommon.
But fair dues, their supporters must have a bit of self aware humour going by the title of their forum
'Stolen Sheep'
I dropped him because of his all Ireland club medal in '97. He took it OK but let's just say I'll not be on his Christmas card list this year lol, wicked wee skitter!!!Jim McConville definitely near the top of that list.
I think Antrim are niceOne thing about us is that we are a very balanced forum ..... we seems to have issues with every other County in Ireland .
Just with varying levels of distain... apart from Leitrim, I like Leitrim but not Declan Darcy. One thing about us is that we are a very balanced forum ..... we seems to have issues with every other County in Ireland .
Yeah but only the glens, them shaftys are ballixesI think Antrim are nice
Yeah, a lot of commentary about the colour, noise and I even heard "razzmatazz! being mentioned. It's class, makes you very proud to be from Armagh. I think that's why the booing thing bugs me so much, I want to be thought of as a likeable bunch, like Leitrim but good at football. I was also thinking that these things can have a greater effect. Knowing what the GAA suits are like they should love what we bring to the game as a whole. Obviously there is the bums on seats we provide but we also make the whole thing a bigger spectacle which in turn is great for marketing and in turn again leads to ££££s. All this would make you think we should be at the top of the class and get rewarded as such not like those bold boys from Tyrone who are constantly on the naughty step but there again every story needs a villain.I was delighted to see so many flags in Clones on Sunday. It’s been something that has sadly been missing from all championship games in recent years I actually purchased one for me & kids before the game. I really hope our flags are waving proudly at Croker on Sunday
No, anyone who follows football know it’s going to be a difficult game, we need to embrace it because we can win!Is it just me or do I get a general feeling of "it's just matter of turning up" spreading around the county.
I have butterflies about next Sunday already, Galway are a seriously tight team, and will not just roll over.
There would be no reason for complacency. Galway have some very talented players, have improved their defending and are provincial champions,No, anyone who follows football know it’s going to be a difficult game, we need to embrace it because we can win!
Not sure where you’ve been getting that from to be honest. Consensus I’m getting is that we’re well fit to beat Galway but they’re a very good team- (wouldn’t have won Connacht otherwise!) who are perfectly capable of beating us and Derry/Clare as well.Is it just me or do I get a general feeling of "it's just matter of turning up" spreading around the county.
