Derry’s style of play is hard to watch. Galway’s defence can be got at, but I just have a feeling Galway will win it.

Galway 1-16 Derry 1-15

I’m not convinced about Kerry. Dublin could be missing a couple of players but they will just do enough.

Dublin 1-23 Kerry 2-19 AET

Would like to see Galway win-simply as a victory for the tribesmen would further validate the progress we ourselves have made in the last year or so.
Don't have anything in particular against the Derry wans, would support them if they got to the final

so-who would we like to see winning this weekend? Galway or Derry?
I think Derry will win - Croke Park seems to suit their style.
If Con O'Callaghan is fit and playing, I fancy Dublin to beat Kerry and will go on to win outright. If not fit, Kerry can win and can win final too.

Quandary!!
I always like the Ulster team to do well and win, but I'd just like to see the team that put us out, winning (hard feelings exist, but put aside)! That way we know we weren't that far away after all. It happened to us in '99, '00 and '01 before we got our go!
That's all. No essay this time!

Still gutted we're not in a semi final this weekend. Thinking positively ahead to next year I'm trying to think of who didn't start against galway but will hopefully be fully fit and available for next year:

Defenders - c.higgins, p.burns, connaire mackin, c.ohanlon
Midfielders - o.oneill, Ciaran mackin and n.grimley
Forwards - turbitt, mcquillian

Does anyone know if Ciaran O'Hanlon was injured during the championship run?

Well... I read it, so I did.

I didn’t realise Armagh were fighting with themselves last week. How did I miss that? I must’ve been out buying herself a burger.

Brolly obviously has an issue with McGeeney. Maybe McGeeney marked him out of it back in the late 90’s, so he didn’t get to blow his kisses to the crowd. His fragile ego must’ve taken a battering that day.

That column says more about Brolly as a person than it does about anything or anyone associated with the Armagh team. A petty, spiteful little turd.

I want Galway to beat Derry & Kerry to beat them in the Al final cause I don't want another ulster team win it & the team that knocked us out winning it

Due to the bias we get against us on a yearly basis, I'll always back the wee 6 team at this stage if there's still one hanging about. Derry for me.
On a similar but different issue...

We got lambasted for fighting with Galway ourselves last week. And TK thrown to the wolves etc.

I noticed a Tipp minor threw his hurl at an Offaly lad, nearly taking the head off him. Has there been any talk about that? Any calls for a lifetime ban? And for him to be sacked from his job/school?

Not a thing.
That politicised show they put on Sunday evening didn't cover it.
The female pundit for the hurling gets a bit of social media spite and very quickly, and correctly, it's called out and it stopped.
Larry, who is a professor of marketing or something like that, goes off on one last weekend about apologising.
No reference to the obscene media attention on the player.
No reference that those who engaged in the social media obscenities can be dealt with under gaa rules.

I would not want any player from any county or sport to be subjected to the abuse that TK received.
But in some parallel place I'd like to see the southern media reaction if it was a Dublin player on the receiving end.....

Under normal circumstances I would support Derry all day long. But I hate the way Gallagher sets his teams up. I love the way Rodgers and McKague play though and the coverage Armagh have suffered recently makes me want Derry to win.

Maybe a melee on Sunday- with no one hurt - would be the result of the weekend?

Yup-a mother of melees between Dublin and Kerry would be good craic. With the camera catching David Clifford giving Con O 'Callaghan a big kick up the hole.
