Even if he was back with the intention of lining out for Armagh again, I think his time has gone. The style of football mcgeeney and star have implemented in the forward line doesn’t suit his style of play
How wrong of any assessment this is. Jamie played for Armagh during the time when we had everyone behind the ball. If you don’t think a fit, active & hungry Clarke would not thrive in this current setup then I suggest you’ve never really seen the lad play. But it’s now too late for Jamie as his best years are likely behind him. But I’d love to see him return for one more go next year.

There could be a role for Clarke, as aback you would not like to see him coming on fresh in the second half. However, Armagh never made as good a use of Janie as Cross did. There were Cross games where he was doubled marked and did not score greatly, but set up multiple scores for other less famous players.

Folks I was speaking to one of the county players today who said that they really didn't like the booing at the game last week. He said that it was actually very distracting for them. He did not want me to me mention his name but he asked that the word get out for it to stop.
100% totally agree, classless. Unfortunately when a few start it many join in.

Armagh v Galway is somewhat novel and very well matched. Kerry v Mayo is a modern classic, you never quite know what Mayo will do.
True on both points.

Armagh Galway really is 50/50. Could come down to a penalty, a sending off or a lucky score. Very hard to call.

I’d have Kerry favourite, mainly because of their forward line, but they are vulnerable at the QF stage. It’s difficult to know how good they are as Munster is a cakewalk. Mayo are capable of one or two big performances, even without key man. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they turned Kerry over.

It should be a fascinating day of football.
