Anybody know what is going on re tickets/venue?

Looking at the groups we are only going to be able relax that we are definitely through if Westmeath are getting well beat. Westmeath have hung in well in games and this is their last hurrah so who knows.

To finish top we need Westmeath to win. Then it’s up to us to beat Galway by any score.
We can finish second with a draw if Westmeath win.

If we end up third we are hoping Derry win well and Monaghan vs Donegal ends in a brawl and wholesale suspensions. You really don’t to be away to second in Groups 1 or 3.

What will be will be.

Tickets still not available to redeem for Season ticket holders. One can only hope they are considering a move of venue to somewhere more suitable even though I've spent the last couple of days working out the route to Carrick-on-Shannon :)

Sligo would be probably be the other alternative if they are considering a venue change. Don’t know how traffic would be affected tho with other games on. Sligo play at 1.45 in Cavan would fans coming home affect the decision?

No problem if the game was in Sligo, they won't overlap, the Sligo fans would not be out of Cavan until 3:30, and the Armagh people would be looking for parking in Sligo at that time.

Sligo ?? sure thats worse again ! its even further away than Carrick on Shannon !
To me Mullingar seems the obvious choice. roughly the same travel time for both set of supporters with a half decent road network.
also holds 11500
and not in Connacht

Armagh and Galway have submitted a joint request to the CCCC for their round three group stage game to be played in Croke Park.

Glad they appealed but hard to see them opening Croker for 15 - 20k

Will Breffni be a sell out for Dub/Sligo and Tyr/Wmth double header? I doubt it will.

Made more sense for Armagh Galway in Breffni, where it would more likely be sold out, and Tyr/WM in somewhere like Newry and Dub/Sligo in Mullingar, Longford or Carrick.

Can't see them moving it to Croker. But obviously both county boards have listened to their fans.

Decision would need to be made brave and quick in order for tickets to be sorted.

Sorry but did you really just use the word sense in a sentence relating to the GAA?!?!!! The sun is obviously getting to you :D

As they are selling tickets for other games and venues announced I can't see how they can change their venues.....

Part 2

The CCCC have turned down Armagh and Galway’s joint bid for their All-Ireland group stage clash to take place in Croke Park.
