Any season ticket holders get their ticket for the Galway game yet or know when they are being released
I would love to vote with my feet regarding the venue but that is hardly fair on the team - it’s not their doing

Can't see too many tickets being made available publicly if any.
Can’t see them going online will be distributed through clubs , still shaking the head at the decision to bring it here , no logic with capacity of stadium , looks like the boys had a few beers the weekend , met up with a map of Ireland and picked the stadium based on geography with no other reasons , some bunch of dummy’s .

Logic not always the GAA's strong point! On another note, what effect if any, with this venue have on the squad? Not played here before that I'm aware of. I would imagine the Armagh crowd will outnumber the Galway crowd 3 to 1 based on season ticket sales and Galway are not great travellers. I've never been to this ground before, just wondering is it a tight ground with the crowd up close etc... Breffni would have been nice for us as the lads have one under their belt already there. Might sound petty but the margins we have been winning and losing games by this year have been so fine, I will take anything that gives us any milimeter of help!

We played Leitrim in carrick in a round 2 qualifier in 2013 I think. Beat them 8-13 to 0-10

Yep, I remember thinking as we were banging the goals in, that maybe we should save a few goals for the next round. Sure enough, we didn’t get any goals in Salthill the following week, and were knocked out

Folks I've arrived at the ground for the game. I can confirm that the traffic is NOT too bad at the minute. I will try and update this as the days go by and get closer to throw the kick in off!!

Just as i finish typing, 3 large trucks have gone slowly by, so be careful if you're reading this a couple of days before the game!

Can remember it being a scorcher of a day in Salthill that day and the lads doing a full on warm up before the game. They didn’t have much left in the tank come last 15mins

Ach, quit yer spoofing! You’re just one of those that @Peter grimes described, that hasn’t got home from the Down match yet.

What have I told you about buying gear from Dodgy Bob? You’ve been circling Ireland for weeks with that sat nav. You’ve only yourself to blame!

It’s near 24 hours since details of the venue was made public, and I still can’t for the life of me work out what the rationale is. These 2 teams practically half filled croker this time last year, but yet the GAA decide to play this game in what has to be one of the smallest intercounty pitches in the country.

On the plus side, this will be the second game in less than a month that there’ll be a big demand of tickets for a game. The other being the ulster final. Not much other counties really do have the following that we have!

Tickets on sale now for all round 3 fixtures EXCEPT ARMAGH V GALWAY. Surely this highlights to the suits in HQ that this venue (capacity + road infrastructure etc) is totally unsuitable for this fixture. Looks like they don't want supporters attending matches.

Will County board show some leadership and make a statement/objection re this ridiculous decision? Is there any chance of change of venue??
