Conor Glass is overrated,McGuigan & Cassidy were out of it in 2nd half,Derry only scored 4 points 2nd half where 11 1st half poor decision making & shooting cause them

Decision making cost Derry in the end. And the lack of ability to win a ball in the middle in the last 10 minutes. They weren't ruthless enough when Kerry didn't score for 15 minutes of the second half. A couple of fisted points instead of trying for goal would have seen them right.

Yes, I’d agree with that. But McQuillan still had a big bearing on the game.

He got every decision right bar 2 in my opinion. First half Derry given a free and Clifford carded for a perfectly good shoulder challenge. Second half the O Brien free was soft. But it was a free. The free for Clifford didn't really matter, the ball went over the bar before being pulled back for a free. Mc Quillan had an ok game for a change. MC guigan stealing yards and sending the last ball over the bar was a bit stupid. Finally caught up with him did the yard stealing antics. Cracking game.

he didn't get Ryan on McGuigan one right 1st half

Some beautiful kick passing by Kerry in the last quarter of the game I thought. Opened Derry right up. And pressure on the kickout forced them long a couple times which they lost at a crucial stage

Think the reason that mc guigan's free was moved forward was because o shea stopped no6 from taking the quick free. (6 off on stretcher with oxegen). So joe moved it forward.

Both semis followed the same pattern. The lesser team had to bust themselves to keep in the game but the effort required saw them run out of steam towards the end.

Derry should have won that game. They lost it between 45-60 mins. Should have been at least 5 in front and could have been 9 or 10 in front. I’d say they are kicking themselves big time

Would it be fair to say the losing of an Ulster final, a semi final yesterday, and a semi final today came down to not having a 'failsafe' kickout option when the game came down to the wire.
