Is he definitely leaving Glen? No reason that those boys couldn’t win another one.

And what happens when Geezer wins the all ireland with us? ;)

Hearing killean, madden 2nds, clann na Gael 2nds & St Peter’s 2nd joining the junior league this year. Not sure what way it will work with last years relegations etc now to balance the numbers if true.

Killean are definitely putting a team in. Not sure on the others but there was talk of a few different seconds teams starting.

You’d imagine the two teams relegated from Junior A last year would stay put (making 9 teams) and the other 4 would join Junior B (making 9 teams)

If Madden and Clanns are anything like CE 2nds I’d imagine they’re not far off intermediate standard.

It’s be a shame for all teams involved to have that gulf in class in 3b for the year with so many uncompetitive games

Not the fairest suggestion but maybe a playoff not including the 7 safe from last year at the start of the year to determine a or b. No one would stand to lose out.

I doubt it, CE are probably closer to Cross II than they are any senior reserve sides. I also think CE II will struggle this season.

Is there any other county that allows second teams to play in their all county leagues? It’s becoming pretty farcical

I’d imagine a guess Dorsey & Lissummon aren’t best pleased having to stay in the higher grade after struggling last year. Especially Dorsey who recorded no wins

What’s farcical is the reserve leagues. Games called off every other week due to opponents not being able to field. Loads of lads not getting any football. At least in junior B your guaranteed a game. The junior sides are boys who can’t get on their senior panel of 30 I highly doubt Clanns, St. Peter’s, Madden juniors would be that far ahead of other junior B teams. CE 2nds had loads of competitive games in that division last year.

did the bring lads down for championship then? How did they go from being competitive in the b league to tanking teams in the championship?
