Onlooker would need to look a bit harder in future

Belleeks Annaghmore is a winner takes all game also, be nice if Armagh TV had one of these on but with three live on Friday night its doubtful.
Really don’t know why they’re showing Silverbridge v Dromintee. Pretty sure Dromintee need to win by a cricket score to leapfrog Bridge on scoring difference.

Have been told that Ethan Rafferty was seriously injured in club match, ambulance called & match abandoned so sounds serious, anyone know what happened?

Another league season wrapped up (after tonight). Have to say I thought the fixtures worked out very well this year with all games on Friday nights. In all leagues there was something to play for on the last day. Fair play to all who made Friday games happen, some difference from playing every Sunday. Championship should be great, best of luck to all teams.

I see from the county website that Middletown have conceded their last game, thus handing 2 vital points to Forkhill. Cross II now in the relegation spot needing at least a point v Whitecross. Are Middletown really that stuck for 15 adult players to fulfil a fixture?

Just a shot in the dark here.

Is there anyone who would know where to direct me to get a full list of results in Armagh club football over the years? For league & championships?

I’m thinking surely Armagh has a record of these but I’ve had no luck in getting a response from them.

Thanks in advance

Shaun Casey / The Sideline Eye maybe?

I'd imagine the county board has them too but not sure who the contact would be

Must have been some craic in their changing room, county lads blaming the other eejits for getting the club relegated.

This is a really bad idea in my opinion. It hasn’t been an issue until cullyhanna decided it was one. Their team who got relegated was missing a lot more than just the county lads, and they had enough games with the county lads that year to stay up but couldn’t do it.

Armagh clubs haven’t exactly been dominating the scene once they get out of Armagh either, so it’s not even like we’re standing out for having these senior level teams in the intermediate grade.

When was the last time there even was a senior level team at intermediate apart from Cullyhanna?

Looking at last years tables for 1b and 2b, Shanes and Grange went down, they would have been fairly effected by losing their county men in fairness but are probably intermediate level teams anyway. Maghery also didn’t go great in the league without their county men and could struggle this year.

Forkhill got relegated from 2b and probably would have picked up more points with their 2 county men last year but only have one now.

Strange from cullyhanna given they’ve benefited to the tune of an all Ireland from the current status quo.

But at the same time yes they’re a senior team if they spent the whole year with the 3 other men. No perfect solution. But in Armagh I’d be in favour of a 10/10/10/x structure based on championship performance. League completely separate.

2 up 2 down on playoffs

Far more bite to it.

They are sort of taking away from there all Ireland win, basically saying they shouldn't even of been there?

If it’s not broke don’t fix it. Cullyhanna wouldn’t be sitting today with an All Ireland had this proposal been in place. The current league structure works well in Armagh I feel. Look at down for example, teams playing senior championship yet division 3 football. Arva playing division 1 football in Cavan yet winning a junior all Ireland.

I think it should be the same throughout each county in Ireland where league and championship are matched to make the competition fair.

It would be madness for this proposal from cullyhanna to get the votes it requires.
