League 2021

I think (not 100% sure) that the provisional details are out with the counties for ratification to make sure it all suits everyone.
Is there any truth that club leagues will be continuing but county players will not be playing in them.

The provisional details are about club championship but no mention of club leagues.

It only makes sense that club Leagues start as normal and played without county players. Why should a club team of say 30 players not play a game because 1 or 2 are with the county?

I would agree with you as lads will need football and it is far too long to wait until summer without any club football.

I can also see problems down the line with it though. There will certain clubs greatly affected by not having their county men (Cross, Forkhill etc) and will it be a case of clubs putting pressure on fringe county players to walk away from the panel if the club starts season off with a couple of defeats.

I don't see an alternative to the club leagues going ahead without county men and it will be one of those things clubs will have to live with.

Those clubs without county men will be happy about it and those with county men will have their objections.

It makes no sense in my mind to let a county player sit on the bench for the county and not allow them to play club football. Can’t see how it benefits any party.

There should be no objections
The clamour for a split season and access to County players has been rising, mostly (probably 99%) coming from social and the written media.
The top brass have now said that players should be available for championship

Cant keep everyone happy

You would hope any county player not in the match day squad for a league game will be allowed to go and play for their club that weekend.

Everything will be pushed back now

The utter incompetence of those in charge and the idiotic house parties and gatherings by imbeciles Pre, during and post Christmas have now created a runaway transmission of the virus
This forthcoming year could see only club championship being played and a curtailed county season

But only if people follow the very simple rules and that the vaccines get out there (that's going to be a huge f*ck up as well due to shortages of vaccine ingredients) will we see a change

Everyone of those in Stormont should be out on their holes and never allowed back in. Put a small group of business people in who can make decisions and then at a later date hold new elections

WTF are gcse and a level students going to - hang on for another year?
Uni students doing important exams in the same boat

Batton down the hatches as this is going to get messy
