What's the story with cillian O'Connor? I think he is integral to mayo's form and I'm assuming he isn't available for Saturday? Ruane and Seamus O'Shea also big voids if not available.
It promises to be a fantastic game. With mayo's defense, burns and Aidan o'se in midfield and the Armagh forward line, perhaps we could worry the dubs!
Could be an orange demonstration!Did I hear there was something else on in Castlebar this weekend? Festival or something?
Theres a great campsite in westport house bring the tents
Could be an orange demonstration!
I like it I like it , Jesus the accommodation is brutal one hotel in Westport is looking over a Monkey !!!!!
@bcb1, Beileve me im not trying to play the poor mouth . I won’t be surprised if we win, yet I also won’t be surprised if ye win!!...im not sure where that leaves me. I’ll admit that us being at home brings a small advantage, regards travel time and rest for players etc. We’ll have a standard 12-15k in the crowd, if ye bring 5k or more it will be an unbelievable atmosphere, so I hope ye travel in numbers. I went to newry last Saturday and it was class! Give me a near full capacity “small” stadium, than a half full Croke park, any day of the week.
With regards your forwards, I think the match-ups will be key! Id say Harrison will mark O’Neill, and don’t be surprised if Keegan man marks Clarke, no matter where Clarke lines out. Obviously if this happens, we’ll lose Lee’s dynamic forward play, but, if does a Connolly or a Cavanagh job on Clarke, it could go along way towards us winning. As i said earlier I can’t call this one, but it will be entertaining, full of goals id say.
The tent might turn out to be the best option.
@bcb1 your post surprises me and is what I am hearing from Armagh fans in general they really feel we have a massive chance , in fairness you normally have your feet on the ground but having watched Mayo in the league final I think unless they have regressed massively I think there defense and in particular the scoring defenders , Keegan , Durcan , Boyle etc will be too much of a threat and I would be afraid that we will give away far too many frees in scoring areas . Now the pressure will be on the Mayo forwards who can be flaky at the best of times , Loftus done well on the frees against Down but they also have issues there but we have had some trouble with frees also this year .
I hope I’m wrong but it’s a massive step up from Monaghan who by all accounts were punched out , I think our lads will make a game of it but it a big ask to beat a team who won Div 1 in their own back yard with probably the best support outside the dubs roaring them on .
Anyone ever drove this route from Dublin city centre? I've a meeting Sat AM, but according to google maps, 3hrs dead, and maybe looks a better road?

Sligo is about 2 hours usually (unless they’ve moved it) and 100 miles from most of Armagh. Assuming that’s the way you’re going.
You’d be talking at least another hour to Castlebar. There’s no motorway driving either!
I would’ve liked to have taken the train from Armagh station, but I think we’ve missed the last one. (Would be a great way to travel to that part of the world though, so it would. Although not with the trackbed removed and no train).
There could be a few people staying near garden gates by the looks of things .Booked in about 12 minute drive from castlebar.. the garden gate. No idea were it is..if anything near by
