Qualifiers 2019

When the team crosses the white line, there’s not a big pile the manager can do. It’s down to the players.

I don’t agree with that at all. Several times this year a change in tactics from the manager mid game has had a very detrimental effect. I’m thinking of matches against Kildare and Meath as prime examples. That said he got the tactics spot on last night and should be praised for that.

Morgan was wearing one of those moon boots yesterday
Ffs, that man has no luck with injuries. That's a shame, as I thought he played well against Cavan. Was far more disciplined.

Funnily enough regarding ONeill. I thought it was his poorest performance to date. Until he scored. When you have a player of his ability in the field you don’t sub him tho
I thought something similar. He wasn't involved in all that much in an attacking threat, but scored 2-1! He did put in a serious shift though, so no arguments there. One thing I would say is that against Down, Cavan and last night, he missed easy frees in front of the posts. For this team to go to the next level, we need him at the centre of things and we need him converting simple frees. The very best players don't miss from in front of the posts. He has all the stuff to be one of the best players in Ireland and it's the small things like that, that make the difference. I would say that he's already one of the favourites for young player of the year.

Also, it was good to see Jason Duffy get a run out. A lot has been said about him and Ross McQuillan. There were a few glimpses of his talent, albeit in a game that was over.

Just to add. The organisation at Clones yesterday was abysmal
Ridiculous we were told GA stand was closed nobody seemed to know were we went with the season tickets. Finally found out were to go Aaron kernan seemed to be having the same issue as us. Finally got in to the ground and we were told behind town goals was closed as was the Hill .we kept walking finally found a seat .then we decided to move behind country goals Stewart had no objection to us just opening this area ourselves. We were told they only expected 3000 - 5000 at the game..then after all that to tell us on constant repeat not to enter the pitch just as well we won or I'd have to really complain

I said it after the Down match, and I’ll say it again. Calm down about Rian O’Neill, lads.

Let the lad grow, let him do his thing. Don’t put unnecessary pressure or pin all our hopes on him. He’s new to county football, and while he’s shown some great glimpses of what he can do, he’s still a young lad finding his feet. He’s going to have good and bad days. We must understand that.

On yesterday game, a great performance, so many mom of match performances. Soup and Jamie covered every blade of grass. A good score put up. With only conceding 1-2 in second half and I'm not sure how that goal went in. Management 100% deserve credit here, tactic and match up spot on. Brendan Donaghy showed exactly what we were missing last time out. We have started to build something great here..maybe a year to soon for us but we have stars on that team..bring on the draw tomorrow. As always great Armagh crowd at the game. Said this after every game but that game would have been great on TV looking forward to the 50 seconds highlights later on.

Let’s hope Pat Spillane is on the Sunday game tonight, he’s been singing our praises a lot lately and after last night display he’ll be looking to get up on McGeeney:D:D

We are surely going to get home advantage tomorrow. Hasn't it been something like 2 homes games in 14 championship games played since 2017?

If we’re lucky!

The whole tv rights / highlights is nonsense and has to evolve , they need to spilt up your hurling and football rights , have separate highlight shows and have them on Saturday and Sunday night and more importantly more on the pitch and less talk , they should have a separate analysis programme in the middle of the week I know @ragingbull might miss an hour of Love Island but so be it .
