Yes, I know what you're thinking - "we should be 8/11".

Rufus you know year on year I play out chances down but honestly this year we are very much in a transition. We would be one of the favourites but I’d have ourselves yourselves, St Pats and Maghery joint favourites. There’s nothing between the 4 teams. I think this is Cullyhanna’s year to be honest. Just have a great of mix

There would be a lot of punters that know nothing about the Armagh senior championship backing cross from outside the county purely because they're odds on and have high name recognition. Bookies know this and price teams like this to cover themselves.

Evens? I thought these were odds?

Think Crossmaglen's odds are based on their history in the Armagh Championship rather than their current squad of players and how they have performed throughout the league campaign. Although serious contenders to win it, I wouldn't like to be going in chips in on them at Evs money. Looked at the market a few weeks back and seen Cullyhanna at 5s which I thought was a tasty price, now second favs still my pick of the bunch. Between them and the harps who are nice price to retain the title.

Harps won, not sure what the final score was - 0.17 to 0.8 i think. A dull championship opener, physical enough at times. Harps played most of the 2nd with 14 men, young Murphy getting the line - didn't see what for.

More Maghery supporters there than locals

I’d say 3/1 be a fair price going by recent form. The other 4/5 not far behind

Attended the silverbridge v Crossmaglen game last night.
A couple of things stood out:
do referees use the advantage rule at all as the whistle was used so many times
Crossmaglen are obviously a shadow of their former glory days. Granted they were missing the two oneills and paul hughes
Silverbridge so ineffective in front of goal - loads of chances and none taken
Great crowd in attendance although those cars parked on the steep bank looked precarious

Same in Annaghmore v Harps game,, christ but Paudie Hughes loves his whistle, there wasn't a bad tackle in the game, but there wouldn't have been 20 seconds of continous play, Paudie blew every little niggly foul and let absolutely nothing go, god love him but that man just loves his wee whistle
