Agree with a lot that has been said on here. Some great signs of what we can do in the first half. Turbo and Andy looked like they could strike up a great partnership inside which will hopefully give Rian a bit less attention from other teams now. I thought we struggled in midfield second half, although I think it was apparent Ethan was told not to go short considering the conditions. We need a go-to kickout strategy for when the game is in the melting pot. I think we will have enough for Down but Derry would cause us serious problems, especially on kickouts unless this is addressed.
On a side note, any idea of pubs in Clones that would show the Celtic game at 2pm before our match?

Size around the middle is 100% an issue. We have tall players, but not particularly filled out. But it's not just about size. Look at Mayo and they've been struggling lately. Matthew Ruane, Jordan Flynn, Fiona McDonagh, Aidan O'Shea are all massive and operate around the middle, but they're not particularly great fielders. Bryan Fenton isn't a tank, but is great at fielding. David Moran was unreal under the high ball, but not that mobile. So it's a tricky balance. It makes the absence of Oisin O'Neill more keenly felt, when you don't have someone that big and filled out in the middle who can just use sheer brute force to win or at least break a ball. It makes our kick out strategy even more crucial and not just resorting to going long every time.

Hmmmmmmm........;)

Thinking about it, the plum pot 3 slot isn’t available to Armagh ( and never really was available). So there is no equivocation here. We are all out to win

Going forward can we at least try & get the players names right, it's McPartlan, not McPartland nor McParland, it's Crealey not Creally nor Crealy, it's Jemar Hall, not Jamar Hall & finally it's Grugan not GURGAN :D These lads (all being well, fingers crossed, holy water out & prayers said) will reach an Ulster Final this Season, it would be nice if we could at least get their names right by the time they get there. & yes it is a huge bugbear of mine.

Down will carrier a real goal threat next week and if they get one that'll only give them encouragement that they can get more. Keeping them goalless will go a long way to towards the win.
Reality is the down game will keep
The guys from being complacent and clones will suit us

1981 was my first Ulster Final, have never forgiven Down for that, so will be delighted to send them packing next eeekend at the same venue
