Easy win today as Fermanagh were very poor although we dominated right from the start. Game was over after 20 mins so no surprise the level of performance fell off considerably.
A few disappointing things today-

Blaine was caught out on that cross ball when they should have scored a goal, great block by McKay. A goal at that stage may have led to a very different game.
Conaty and Turbo were poor up front today, and I thought Forker and to a lesser extent McGrane were very quiet today.
The subs made little impact, when they should have been busting a gut to make an impression.
However, overall a very positive day and having watched Down last night, hopefully it will be men against boys again in 2 weeks time.

Last night's game was dire. I expected a bit more from Down if I am being honest. An Antrim team savaged with injuries this year and Down couldn't put the game to bed.

Let's be honest, we are on the weakest off weak sides of the draw here. I normally give opposition respect, but I just cant see any other result today than Armagh winning comfortably against a poor Fermanagh team and Down leave a lot to be desired. Be looking at 8 - 10 points on fermanagh today. Don't think it will be a contest at all if we go about our business properly and put full effort in from start to finish
I know it was the expected result but this is a good summing up of things and a pretty accurate prediction. Fair play.

Horseshoe tactics.

Is Ruby Walsh in our back room team now too? Oh wait, he cant be. He doesn’t begin with K or C.

Knew Fermanagh weren’t great but Jesus I thought they’d have been abit more competitive. Game was over after 20 minutes and was just a case of avoiding injuries and suspensions which we seem to have done. Not a whole pile really to say on the game.

Down probably will be tougher but not a whole pile, would genuinely say our in house games will be the only competitive football before the final but can only beat whats in front of you.

A great win although it was against a worse than dire Fermanagh team. There were some good things to take away from the game but I am finding it difficult to know where we are compared to last year. Division 2 was poor in terms of competition and our first Ulster game was no different. I do think we are playing nowhere near our best yet, Fermanagh have a similar output to their league campaign whilst we have probably upped our overall play by 10% from league, if even that.

In today's game we could have put a huge score on Fermanagh but didn't. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing for us. We MUST be ruthless but I get we don't want to run the risk of injuries or give anything away to the opposition. Once the game was won we did give Fermanagh time to reset their defence so we could have some more competitive practice against a blanket deference. There is a difference to Rian O'Neill, not sure if it is a good thing or not.

Happy to see TSG attempt some decent analysis. Cavanagh and Flynn are far from the best analysts but I had no problem with their efforts on our game.

Thought the game was a bit weird. Mainly due to Fermanagh who were genuinely awful. We did our work early, completely bossed the middle third and if anything should have been further ahead at half time. Second half was laboured but if are going to do that, make sure the game is out of sight at half time, which it was.

Macklin was excellent. As was P Burns.

Should have too much for Down but I would expect them to be better than Fermanagh and also to better than Saturday.

Go at them hard, fast and early.
