Any thoughts on the standard of refereeing this year? Was at the clans Dromintee game as a neutral. The ref had a good game but missed a couple of clear fouls on clans players but controlled it well
Nab won handy tonight. But Derrynoose, what is going on over there? How are they beating 2A teams when they were only a mid table 2B team? Seen the twitter at 1.4-0.2 and just put on the rugby, but when I looked back half an hour later I had to scratch my eyes. Fair play to them
Fair play to Forkhill. They will be contenders for junior championship 2021 as all football will be seized in a week or so and there will be no promotion or relegation, wait to you see.
After their championship final appearance a few years ago they lost boys to emigration I believe. They operated at intermediate level for one year too but have been on the decline now for a number of seasons due to poor numbers.
How are we still talking about derrynoose? Éire Óg will win the league if it finishes unless they lose to both derrynoose and Belleek and derrynoose win every game and they have all the hard teams to play.
Nope. Just seen enough of Belleek down the years to know what they have. Big physical team but limited really. Forkhill managed a better team than Belleek fairly well at the weekend and will win this championship with ease.
This league is a farce this year, should have had an A and B league with 6 games each and that was that. Derrynoose did what they did because they are protecting a bunch of players who are dual and would be out 4/5 times a week training, they now have two championship semi finals coming up in...
We have all seen derrynoose implode in the final last year but something about that performance on Saturday tells me they are carrying that hurt and will drive on. They will not get carried away.
You can label it what you like. The reality is derrynoose beat a team that were in intermediate the last number of years and were expected to bounce back up.
