The anger and resentment from some of our southern gaels is delightful, really enjoying this on Twitter etc.
Interesting Sean Og also that our Ulster brothers & sisters from Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan really sticking the boot in also (see hoganstand). You'd swear it was a wee 6 thing really!

Avoid Hoganstand like the plague, a gathering point for west brits, funny you mention Cavan, certainly a few on Twitter that have an unhealthy dislike of us, as I said really enjoying their anger

Had a few pints last night in Divingmidgetland, with a few Tyronians including one of beardy players from the noughties. I think the southern media reaction has backfired and the support amongst them for Armagh was absolute. It was like a circling of the six-county GAA wagons. Their collective analysis of the game was that Galway got all of the breaks bar a double hop of Rian O’Neill’s ???? and that Armagh had to fight for everything. One of them had a video of the pub during the game and you may as well had been in Cross. So .

All the noise from this week about Armagh is crazy. I am proud of this team and squad for their efforts and will continue to support them. They have proved they are as good as anyone and I still think we can improve the all Ireland is wide open and any team in last 4 can win. Armagh just need to keep their heads a bit better in those situations when things get heated but things are looking positive for us

Unreal attack by Joe Brolly in the Sindo today. Obviously utter personal agenda. Hope he stays away from the Athletic Grounds for a long time and has no more visits to his formerly beloved Crossmaglen. A cowardly weasel.
He moved on to Slaughtneil, then Dublin, then Corofin, then [insert successful team here]...

He always likes to be wearing the winners hat. Every other team are a bunch of losers with idiotic managers.

Any chance of putting a copy here? That paywall won't accept IOUs

No harm Joe, but we do really want that crap posted up here?

I suspect it goes along Brolly's mantra that McGeeney should publicly call out the actions of his players.
No manager is going to publicly berate or shame any of his players. Quickest way to lose the changing room.
Management will address any issues of indiscipline internally and within the confines of the squad.
Brolly knows that too well, but will still use the opportunity to manipulate opinion. He has had a vendetta against McGeeney for a long, long time. He and Eamonn Sweeney are posturing to be have the biggest pitchforks at the front of the lynch mob

Very true.
Best to keep the rubbish in the paper that can be used to wipe things with

Haven't posted since the game, it has taken a few days for the pain to subside. Just want to echo what had been said earlier, I'm extremely proud of the lads and management. They've given my family and I some fantastic entertainment this year and bar some dodgy decisions last weekend, not least what was a blatant throw ball in the buildup to the first goal, my kids would be marvelling in the county building up to a semifinal for the first time. Hopefully to come in the near future. I wonder will the media will be all over that assault in the minor hurling final today. It's easy to get wrapped up in the double standards and biases that definitely exist in the GAA, however we are definitely moving forward on the pitch, and can't wait to see our lads and support in action next year again

Don't think there is anything wrong with that. Clearly accidental and just an unfortunate clash.

McCabe was an attempted shoulder but just slightly mistimed
That’s the first point of contact.

Not that it will make a big difference but during the start of the pandemic I took our a subscription on the Gaelic life just to try and help local GAA journalists a bit , I know it wasn’t going to pay their wages but every bit helps , because this tube is not writing for them I won’t be renewing my quarterly subscription, I don’t know how much Niall McCoy is on this forum anymore and I know he is doing a bit of work for RTÉ now but I would be interested on his take on this agenda by Brolly .

I have actually done the same. I'm all for debate and happy for that to be robust but Brolly takes it too far. His agenda is totally self serving. Like Nolan, take away his oxygen and switch him off.

I won’t let that tube take away my enjoyment of GL. They are a very good paper, and great for club and county coverage.

Some weeks I don’t even read Brolly, and if I do, I deliberately read him last. Like an afterthought. That will show him.

Anyway, his columns are usually fiction. It’s like listening to some Tory pr**k. You shake your head in disbelief at the blatant lies and exaggeration.

There’s a video of Conor Moore doing impressions on TSG a few years ago. Loughnane, Brolly, Davy Fitz etc. He does this story as Brolly, and at the end he says... that’s a true story, I wouldn’t exaggerate. The whole panel laugh. They laugh more than anything else he did. Because they all know Brolly is a bullsh1tter.
