We did make the same changes against Antrim, 12 at HT.Had the two games been in reverse order then we would likely be in a semi final. We could have made the changes against Antrim and still won.

Well I guess they will learn there was no leadersThat was terrible, very bad management decision to put out so many subs at a time.
What did they learn from that nothing!! Poor lads no leaders! They learn from the experience played! And they were on the bench. A draw would have ment so much more to the young players.
Disappointed in the management decision
No, I would not call for geezer to leave, but I hope he as learned from this himself, I know I have learned, geezer is not as clever as I though!!!Well I guess they will learn there was no leaders
Don't know what geezer was thinking. Making subs at half time in a mckenna cup group game.
@PatMustard your a whizz kid on these computers. Get the geezer out petition started

Don't get this comment at all. So what do you think he should have learnt from tonight??No, I would not call for geezer to leave, but I hope he as learned from this himself, I know I have learned, geezer is not as clever as I though!!!

But we do it against Cavan and suddenly it is all management fault.
Some of the lads could well be thinking they are miles off and the harsh truth is that some off them are.
Lads this this inter county football. Surely players at that level don't need babysat and build their confidence up. If they not confident enough to play at that level then they shouldn't be playing at that level.
And that is not aimed at any player involved tonight. Just inter county football in general.
The same 4 teams will be in the championship semi finalsDown v tyrone
Derry v cavan
Why always me?Well I guess they will learn there was no leaders

Just get it done. Why always me?
Were you at the Antrim game? It had the same effect then too however we were 9 points up against awful opposition so we rode the storm. So we made 12 changes against Antrim and still retained the flow of the game.

We won't really know the impact a poor McKenna Cup will have until the league starts. Were you at the Antrim game? It had the same effect then too however we were 9 points up against awful opposition so we rode the storm.
I don't care whether we win the McKenna cup but we need to use every game we can to improve and build. The last two games had the opposite effect.
What utter rubbish. So just because you are on the county panel means you are confident?? Clueless....So we made 12 changes against Antrim and still retained the flow of the game.

What could you learn from tonight? They weren't even played in their normal positions. I would safely say that line-out in the second half never played in that formation before. It was obvious they didn't know what to do or where to be.We won't really know the impact a poor McKenna Cup will have until the league starts.
And even then, we won't be discussing a shite Wednesday night performance in the middle of January when the ball is thrown in v Antrim in April.
Those young lads will have learned a lot more about what it takes to play at this level tonight than playing Antrim last week.
Exactly. Theres lads played tonight who maybe won’t make it for the county and lads that will. Thing is we don’t know til they get their chance to either sink or swim. Every player needs games like this to gain experience at county level it doesn’t just happen. So we made 12 changes against Antrim and still retained the flow of the game.

I would care if we were relegated. I think we have got a better team than Roscommon, Donegal and Monaghan. The problem we have is that we need to pick up the points early and not worry about Tyrone relegating us.I’m not McGeeneys biggest fan, I could list off reasons why I don’t think he the right man for the job, his poor record in Ulster over the past 9 years being the main one, but since when did anyone start caring about McKenna cup performances? It a time for experimentation, sometimes these go badly and there is something to be learned from that.
I wouldn’t care if Armagh got relegated tbh, we need to back up last year’s championship run with an Ulster final visit and at least reach an AI semi-final or last years run will just be seen as an anomaly.
