I don't think it was a high tackle on jemar but it was certainly a dangerous one. The referee had given us a free and was dealing with it.
What caused the melee was Rory grugan coming in and throwing a cowardly punch. He then got threw around ballybofey like a back of crisps whilst other lads such as mcabe & Morgan had no choice but to back up their colleagues.
Grugan caused the row. Don't get involved in things you can't sort out.
So you think that if Jemar hadn't been "tackled" in this way the melee would have started anyway? Do you not think the Donegal player who put in this "tackle" at the very least deserved a card? I completely disagree with you as regards McCabe & Morgan having "no choice" but to back up their colleagues, they always have a choice & their choice on this occasion was to get involved, rightly or wrongly.
Finally Rory Grugan was not the only player throwing punches "cowardly" or otherwise that night, as I mentioned in an earlier post the Donegal number 8 punched Stephen Sheridan in the upper chest with a closed fist, no action taken by the referee. Our team got NINE yellow cards in this match & yet here are 2 incidents definitely worthy of cards which escaped punishment.
