Will make a more detailed post in the morning, after watching the rerun of the game today.

One thing I will say is Rian oNeill, what a player! To step up and score that free outside the 45 to take it to extra time was unbelievable. Must be a certain all star

You have to wonder what would have been the outcome if we had had his brother also throughout.

Looking at the highlights again there. Jemar’s point to put us ahead late on reminded me of Andrew McCann’s goal in the 2000 semi v Kerry. The emotion, euphoria and the sprint back up the pitch.

I really thought when that went over, we had it.
At least we got a replay then

anyone feel we didn't get beaten today. The Gaelic Football game was a draw. After the game they had a penalty competition to see who should go to the next round.

Its better that way. Finding out who the best Gaelic football team is secondary. Making it easier to schedule competitions, TV coverage, Concerts in Croke park is more important.

A point was great - and we celebrated that point
But - was a goal chance there for the taking? And with it the winning of the game????

Possibly. But given the circumstances at the time, a point was probably the correct option. Unfortunately we just couldn’t hold out

I'm devastated folks. I'm sure many of you are the same. But do you know something, this forum has been great when we were going well and to be honest it has been great this morning too. It's like a counselling session and good to know that so many of you are going through what I am. We travelled in absolutely massive numbers, must have been about 35,000 Armagh supporters there and the noise and colour we brought was amazing. I was so proud to be a part of that. Let's hope the county can harness that support and start to build from the bottom up. Get all those kids involved and make Armagh great again.

We made a huge mistake imo by conceding the kick out after this point and letting them carry the ball up to our 45 unopposed basically. Should have put the pressure on them with the kick out I felt
yes there was a stoppage and a Galway player was standing in between the 21 and 45 with no one near him for at least one minute should have made them kick a 50/50 was weird .

I can tell you it wasn’t an isolated incident Armagh have to be one of the best supported counties in the country and I was proud to see them turn croke park orange today. Unfortunately with Armaghs success comes the band wagon of louts who have no interest in football. Some of their behaviour today really let their County down. I also had young kids with me and a brawl broke out on the middle of street on our way back to the car - the boys involved were stoned drunk. Clowns.

Have to agree.

The Armagh support yesterday was unreal. It genuinely was. The buzz and the nervous energy was fantastic! It was my two young boys first time in Croke Park and it was an experience I will take with me to my grave. Something money couldn't buy.

But if the price that comes with it is the droves of underage and young drunks running around then I am not sure it is worth it. The state of large number of supporters was embarrassing. Saw a couple of small scuffles and a few lucky not to be knocked down on the way back to the car yesterday. It was a poor look.

The drunks were not limited to the young.
